whether it can be done or not is hardly the issue....
we have had some quite good payouts there... just bring a gb and 2 bombers.
it shouldnt be there at all... and so should not be abused by so many.

Well, it does make sense that people can make money from short-distance transportation.
Not all transport is long-distance. Keeps things interesting.

Oh, and for the record, I don't use the route in question. In fact, I hate trading and only occasionally smuggle Artifacts. Thinking about getting into the Synth Marijuana business too, but my smuggler is Corsair tagged and friendly with TBH, so some routes may not be possible...

Honestly its a conscious decision you make to not go to 31 cause its being annoying. That isn't necessarily bad RP. I mean can we blame people for taking advantage of it?
Like I say move it a bit farther away so that the trip takes a few minutes longer and you change the numbers. Its the whole 1+ mil every minute business thats out of control. I make 11 mil on Cam > Corfu every 15 mins. Thats less than a mil a minute. 31 gives me a mil a minute.
Maybe they ought to 'RP' a market crash in Harris from over speculation. That or redeploy the BS to another part of the system, problem solved.

I dont trade much, and when i do, i look forward to being pirated. it makes it all more worthwhile.
First of all slow your role there dude, take a deep breath, and back off! No need to get offensive as no one was that way towards you. You say my idea of roleplay is to sit on planet and taunt? When the heck did I do this? Don't go accusing something you can't back up. There have only been two times I have not paid my taxes...
1) When UOG came in and took out my security force, I felt like making the runs back and forth until they killed me and that didn't happen. Did i taunt them in char... Heck Ya. But I also came out of planet several times and none of them even got my sheild down all the way because they did not have proper weapons.
2) Was just two night ago with Corsairs Benitez and only reason I did not pay is I had to log.
In fact I've been a loud voice on here the past few days about others not rping especially while in system chat. I stay in character at all times, and I rp all the time. I look forward to rping, so don't sit thewre and try and drag this into a flamewar as I'm not going to do that.
While you call it an exploit (which maybe it might be) it's not against the rules, and while there's virtually no really good rp for it, it doesn't mean there is none at all. YOU Just have to be creative. Soyent Greens is a good one as well as the two I thought of.
Personally I like being pirated, that is why I pay people to protect me (and if you ask around I pay really well) and when noone's there to protect me while I'm in my train I pay without hessitation if it's reasonable.
Bluntpencil is right... not every route needs to be spread out over three or more systems... thought the amount made could be reduced a bit for balancing or have the battle ship moved out 10k so pirates have a little more chance. though it has been proven time and time again it can and HAS been pirated, so either pirate it and make money off it, or don't, but please quit complaining, and please do not attempt to attack me on these forums again without provocation. I take offense to comments like that as they are not needed, wanted, nor neccesary. Thanks

lol I'm not trying to start a flamewar. I was just pointing out that for someone who seems to care so much about roleplay, you are using a route which basically cuts out the chance for any.
and i never said it was against the rules, though i believe it should be.
before it does look like i am attacking you... im sorry... you do rp a lot beter then most of the people who use that route, and it was fun trying to kill you.
a gunboat should not need a particular layout just to pirate a route.

You're right there is limited rp there, but the reason I do it is simple... it's where most of the action is. I have been pirated more, had more in rp experiences, and basically more fun there then anywhere else (i've also been more aggrevated there then anywhere else also...go figure).
I don't think it should be against the rules just tweaked to make it more balanced and fair to all.
Thanks, i appreciate you maning up there. It was a lot of fun out running the UOG, but then again I've also paid them a few times as well, lol and it was still fun.
I agree about the gunboat, but this is more of a power of weps rework thing then a trade run thing.

@ globalplayer-svk: That's because you are Corsair and have Taiidan bombers with Coladas and Novas. Try doing it as a Rogue or a Molly. You need actual skill and teamwork to get it done. a simple shot of 4 Coladas and 2 Novas up the tail pipe turns just about anything into swiss cheese in a couple shots. It doesn't take much skill to do that.

I'll sure be glad when Tau 31 is nerfed. Today alone I found at least 6 traders doing this run. That's 6 traders that used to run New Tokyo to New Berlin or Cambridge to Theta. Most all the common trade routes have died down because of this cash farming run.
i was not pirating in tau,i was trader,as corsair i have other ships as taiidan. adn when i was trading in tau,and pirate say pay 2 mils,i pay. not because i have fear,but because i am trader and he is pirate.and the 2 mils i have back in 2 minutes.and for me is better pay as be destroyed.

could I suggest that the tau 31 route be left as is but a time limit placed on, rather like kick on base camping for instance?
I find it useful if i need a few quick bucks but by god is it boring!!! an hour of that will make my eyes bleed.
it does serve a purpose but you should be limited to 30 mins there and then get teleported somewhere else, nowhere nasty but a long way from there.
anyway, i enjoying my sirius circular route, takes in most of the map, takes about 45 mins to do and I make a good profit from it too.
