After that, capital ships shouldn't be running after transports at all. Why doesn't battleship in California move for transports? Stationed, you'll say? It's as stationed as Spyglass is, for example. Or maybe let Isis chase your artifact smugglers?
Also, that makes whole server moving to caps. Nothing'd stop them now, becuase they can do most of stuff in caps. I believe rule was invented to make people flying fighters. Just expect now hunting packs, cruiser + BS.
Cruisers double-mortaring transports - that's another thing I'm not happy to see.

I loudly say "no".

Should you care about him? Your business is war, not interdicting smugglers. You can demand contraband in GB, be happy with that, actually. For smugglers you have escorts IRP.
Tell me what should Scylla do in the middle of Camridge? Especially with Armistance? :|
Because those cruisers are used as hideout. They're not even enough efficient in battles.

Molly Cruiser in Camridge really has nothing to do. Did you ever hear about Armistance? Mollys and BAF are neutral now.

Of all Rheinland pirate groups, only Red Hessians are capable of building cruisers of their own. Bundschuh, Unioners, and LWB don't build capital ships, but sometimes have a chance to buy - or steal - Red Hessian cruisers of older modifications, or even newer models that were crippled in battle. Having weaker hull and less firepower than new Hessian cruisers, these ships are still usable for defending pirate bases and <strike>attacking Rheinland Military convoys.</strike> Not possible.

I voted for yes.

I actually agree with Curios.

If we make rules to stop lolwutters, we will kill this mod.
They'll break the rules no matter what we do. If we make it so that they can't possibly break rules, the game will not be playing at all. We'll just keep adding on more and more rules until everyone but Igiss quits. (Because he doesn't play the game.)

Outside balance I would like to see caps killing transports in both ways- lawful and unlawful.RP-wise this is the best option.Stat-wise it will be hard to run with transp from Dessie or cruiser.

If the transports receive a little buff in thrust speed like Kusari yacht this will be no problem at all, for possible adjustments to sweeten the both sides positions I will add my 2 ideas here:
Idea 1
Trading corporations need good escort vessel capable of protecting trade convoys from bombers- something with:
1000 cargo
Transp shield 700kgb core
8 turrets ( only 4 front firering)
A Ptrain agility,800 bots bats - to be able to supply the traders
bigger as Gunboat,restricted to the official trading factions- it can spam missiles to keep bombers away from the fragile trains.
The idea must be not to kill the bombers but to slow them in order 5ks to run away.

Idea 2 is already made it is up to the dev team if they will include it or not:

Other Idea is to give the bomber second anti-capital missle with the half of the Damage but with much better stat in order to make possible to hit something smaller then a Shire or Cruiser with it,of course it will affect the gunboat balance... so it is really hard to make it well for everybody.

As it is now, traders don't stand a chance anyway...

also, if you allow caps to pirate, any (normal) trader would start bringing escorts, that way you kill piracy for the freelance pirates who aren't allowed anything bigger then a gunboat.

Honestly people, caps are overrated! pick up some spare change and buy yourself something that isn't visible from 14K off. ;)

You know what? I was one of the guys who posted a topic trying to find a way to get rid of the rule preventing Cruisers and BS from shooting transports.

To my own astonishment, I've changed my mind. There are good arguments on both sides for why we should and shouldn't have the rule, but what it all really came down to for me was this.

BS and Cruisers should fly in formation with Fighters and Bombers. That way smugglers and pirates can't sit back and thumb their nose at you. Yeah, I said it, "Get Escorts". Mercs, Bounty Hunters, or Allied Faction Members, doesn't matter. They are there; use them. They'll hunt down the offender while you can take on that Spyglass that just appeared out of nowhere...

Smugglers and Pirates in transports should fly with escorts if they don't want to get wasted. Better yet, they should stop being blatantly stupid by flying so close to centers of lawful activity, such as Manhattain.

Systems are big. When I had a smuggler, I would use the navmap, set my destination, remove the waypoints for the tradelanes and hit F2. I flew across the entire region of Kusari with a full load of Cardimine in this way and never got caught. That is until I foolishly tried to dock with Manhattain right out in the open... So stop rushing around, and try being stealthy. It works.

Summary of everything I just said: "Leave Rule as is and Get Escorts"

Pretty much no, it would lead to a massive abuse.

On the other hand, I am frustrated of seeing smugglers in house space and when they get stopped by a cruiser / battleship for a scan they just say "lololol ur battleship u cant kill me babai imma cruise". This is just extremely stupid.

But I prefer the rule, as solving the problem above would create 1500 problems.

Ok, sure, why not. Lets allow all the capships to pirate. But let's take them away from the people at 2nd rule break with the said ship?


I really doubt that hessians spend their hard built cruisers on piracy and camping trade lanes. I also find it weird that whit piracies happening so easily at the moment (1 lone fighter or bomber pirating), you would want to give more firepower to the pirates.

I don't see that making traders use escorts really.


I wouldn't mind having a cruiser pirate in a group. Every faction can set up a blockade some where and cruiser can be a part of it. But a lone cruiser pirating is a pretty messed up thing.
