All of the above. BHG ships are supposed to be finely tuned machines, bulky but powerful. They don't have parts that aren't needed. Those wings aren't needed. Its a fine looking ship, just the wrong one for the spot.

looks nice angel, that would probably work, with a few tune-ups and things.

btw did u make that model? if you did, thats a really good job

Even if it doesn't look freelancerish, the design promises speed and agility. Defintive a ship BH would fly.
Another way would be to use the Rogue Gunboat as BH GB as soon as the Rogues got a new one.
So th Bh ships will look relative.

I have got to say that is a FANTASTIC MODEL!!!!!!!!!!!! I would buy that in a heartbeat. Definately gets my vote for BHG Gunboat! I don't think a thing needs to be changed!

I'm not even in the BHG, yet....

But this ship is amazing! Love the design.. well done!

Also, in a way I kind of agree about not having wings... Yes it does fit the Bounty Hunter theme, and I love the look, but wings are bad on large ships.

Look at the Huntress for example. It is probably one of the prettiest, yet most useless ships in the game. Have you ever tried to fly through any kind of asteroid field in that thing? Even a sparse one?

Bounty Hunter Ships. - Snip3rNife - 10-02-2007

That ship looks less BH-ish than the Rogue Gunboat, and the Rogue GB isn't even done in the Freelancer Style. D:

The ship I was going to put forward as a BHG Capital was this one:

Taken from the game Heagemonia. It's was the Human Corvette (equivalent to a gunboat). Unfortunately, despite initial aperances the models absolutely wrecked. There's no way I could port this to FL as is. And I'm not skilled enough/haven't found an alternative method of removing the extra polys. Just now it's sitting at around 15,000, it's supposed to be a tenth of that...

I'm doing some asking around of Haeg modders if they've got better tools than the one Used to get this onto Max, but I'll be honest it doesn't look promising...

somehow the wings on that ship doesnt appeal to me, especially if its to be a bounty hunter cap ship. one, it will be hard to maneuver through rocks and asteroid fields, two, it doesnt fit the general shape of the bounty hunter ships we have been seeing. if it can lose the wings above and below the side things, it would look alright.

thats what i would say anyway.

I think you are all forgetting that the BHG Destroyer is a STAR WARS ship. Our gunboat (IMVHO) should *not* be based off of that. In fact, I would really rather that our destroyer and battleship are replaced by custom models based of the fact that they are both from starwars.

I love starwars, don't get me wrong. But I'm not in a starwars game. They make nice placeholders and do fit.. But just knowing where they are from kind of ruins the feel for me. Corsair gunboat and a few other ships are the same way for me.

Bounty Hunter Ships. - Dopamino - 10-02-2007

I don't care where they come from as long as they fit.

Bounty Hunter Ships. - RingoW - 10-02-2007

@ mista shoultz : Yes i made the model from the first scratch by myself. Just had the design of double hull speedboats in mind.

@ dark odditiy : Maybe available in Discovery 4.85

@ dopamino : There must be a trauma about wings. Maybe some incident in the past in connection to wings?;)
Following your explanation of BH concept a cylinder or cube with (tuned) engines and maybe a bridge and some turrets would do the job.

@ Thomas Hill : I think we have a completly different view of design. Thats the way of taste. Someone has, someone has not.;)
Present your own model to prove me wrong.

@ ToSou and frozen. Try to make these models available for FL. Don't worry about the mass of polys. To keep them small is only necessary for people using machines older than four years. Off course it should be kept as an exception.

Bounty Hunter Ships. - Victor - 10-02-2007

I personally think the Destroyer fits. I only recently found out it's actually a Star Wars ship. (...yes, I'm not obsessive with Star Wars, I know...)

Anyway, I stay with my vote... nice design, will purchase, will vote...
