Seriously I don't get what you have against that Model. It really got the Liberty Feeling what most of the other Models didn't have. Just because it looks similar to the Dreadnaught you don't want it? :l

May be in order to replace the carrier you need to make it just little wider in the central part? I mean leave the front nose part and the engines as is and add each side/ or one side one huge docking bay. So the ship will be easy SNACable ad wide enough to cover the balance norms to be worst in PvP as the Dread. Add many defence turrets- make it ugly to the bombers and small crafts but not so powerful against other Battleships- only one heavy point and 4 medium points for example. Dont let such nice model to die.

I just really like the looks of this model. It does seem more of a super dreadnought than a carrier to me, but I've always thought carriers to be a bit useless anyways, since we can't dock on 'em.
And of course. ANYTHING is better than the current one.

Speaking of "What does make Dread so equal against RM BS..." stuff, i can tell you that Seth can fly his Dread baby so annoyingly good, that he actually pwn'd my BS without any problems...
Edit: Speaking of "Carriers have no role in Freelancer" stuff, i cannot agree along. I think they serves their RP purpose just fine. Disco is RP server after all.

Not really. Even the weakest, smallest fighter available, the starflier, can fly through several systems before running out of fuel (In RP, OORP they can fly all over the sector infitely). Modern carriers exist only because fighters are short range attack craft, they're useless for anything other than that. If todays fighters could fly from, say, america to asia and still have plenty of fuel to finish their mission and return to the US for refueling, there wouldn't be any carriers.
And even if that wasn't the case, we can't launch fighters, or dock with player ships. So they're useless for RP.
I think we should scrap the carrier class and replace it with dreadnought class or something similar. Would make more sense in RP.
