I think you'd have to password the server for a while, otherwise you will still get folks being elsewhere, not knowing about it. Also, 3 out of the 200 have to be admins since the slots are reserved for them.
Of course, this is a nice thing to do.

I get unplayable ping when there's more than 15 people sitting about near me.
Let alone doing anything other than sitting stationary.

obviously we'd need some sort of admin presence, yeah. also, with admins there, we dont really need to password the server, they can just .beam people for the event who dont know about it.
I'm probably going to set the date for this in either 2 or 3 week's time, during a weekend obviously. but im still waiting for an admin response here...

Also, id like the add, by the general tone of things, there seem to be alot of people wanting to bring battleships. im a bit sceptical, but i think im going to keep a bit of a restriction of 1 battleship per faction. that way there can be more diversity, and all factions' ships will be covered. (those factions with multiple battleships can bring one of each).
ofc this can be decided at a later time, but id rather something like that is in place for all battleships at the very least.

Right. i didnt mean to ignore this, but due to some RL issues that've come up recently, i dont really know when i'll be able to come online to play the game itself.
so suffice to say.. this will probably be postponed to 2-3 weeks from now, but i'll defo try and sort it out.

My pc can probably handle it but by god my internet connection is going to go into meltdown with it.
