But this notice is about GMS mining Beryllium and Niobium. There's none of those in Dublin, however there is a Niobium field in Leeds. I'd say going to Dublin is stretching it a bit too far, and would only make things worse in that system. If they make Gold Ore profitable in Gallia anyway.

well I'm not very happy with prices on ore. Berilium 8300 and we need to travel through 2 more sistems than to NT(8500). and that "SPARTA" sistems like orkney(crazy OC Npc's) and Lanquedoc(all kinds of hardcore pirates) mb buf little that price? like 9000 or 9200 so.. we can feel difference) also NB prices for Niobium and Burg prices) time spended on travel almost same but.. difference =3k for unit?

my proposal: Buff prices on Alesia, Berilium=9000-9300, Niobium=9000-9500

Can we please have this put on Gallic ships instead of Sirian ones? I don't think the royals are too happy about GMS flying around in Mafics...

I think not evry "royalist" is happy gms going to mine for gallia outside gallia, basicly "aquiring" sirrian ores for royal cause.

So much stupid... so little thread...

Think about this for a bit. Council, as of yet, has no proof the GRN are as evil as they say they are- no proof that anyone trusts, anyway. The Zoners are pretty miffed, and are taking Council seriously, but honestly that's because A) they're emotionally fragile and B) someone dared to not hand them neutrality as though it was divine right. The IMG may be friendly with Council now, but they're not keen on jumping into a war for them... as we can see from what happens when Council's lines are broken. If a few Gallic miners come out looking nice and peaceful, onlookers will see them and think "aww, cute little civilians, they're not terrifying and evil like Council said". Then, when the GRN bring down the hammer, people aren't mobilized.

A civilian, friendly, "soft and fuzzy" Gallic presence in the Taus is good for Gallia. Even if a few <strike>thousand</strike> GMS workers die in the process, who cares? They're Council sympathizing peasants anyway, it's not like anyone of consequence is putting their life on the line.

But if the Gallic leadership abandons or mistreats their miners... an IMG station is rather close by willing to take in miners that want to break those ties.
It happened in Bretonia, it happened in Rheinland... Could well happen to the GMS as well.

Technically speaking, the Gallic leadership will probably tell GMS "feel free to mine in the Taus and bring it back, but we can't protect you there". GMS will go "ooh profit" and send people out there. People will die, as they always do. But, technically speaking, they knew the risks when they got into the game.

That said, it could be interesting RP. GMS is considerably more liberal, and their workers have better conditions than, say, EFL, or any poor bastard working mines planetside*, but it's possible. Go for it.

EDIT: Re-reading what you wrote, I think what you had in mind is actually what Council used to start the Second Gallic War. A working class revolution did happen, it just wasn't started by the working class.

*Theoretical life expectancy on a planetside mine- measured in years. Length of time before you go insane, commit suicide, sign up for the Army, or join Council- measured in months. Council got a hold on Marne because it was worse than Leeds. It's just as bad now as it was for, but at least now we have a democracy... that doesn't take votes from the working class and kills civilians if it's necessary for the greater good. Grimdark indeed, the Imperium would be proud.
