As far as I can rememebr it means essently 'lets go' with a strong emphatic sense, according the the Iraqi's I got to know when I was in Iraq. It's also used as a celebretory chat at times.
Using it as a celebretory chat after blowing folks up ingame, THAT is why people have a problem with it, it's seen as a little too close to IRL.

I myself am a American-Latino. Typically, I have been called many names in school and also called a Mexican - which I tend to hate when people refer me as them - which I am NOT! Until one day I stand my ground and beat the **** out of the kid and gain respect out of him. For that day on, he wanted to be my friend. Either way, racism is not written in my book anywhere. Call me whatever you want if its a joke, but if it gets serious, yeh you watch your back, buddy.
Joe, I have to say that I approve of this announcement - which I tend to feel that people in this world are corrupted by 'foolishness' and idiocy that others make. Especially Discovery - some people make jokes out of racism and others take it a bit serious with it. But, it is true that Discovery is not a rightful place to bring something from the outside world. As many people told - "If you have something bad to say, swallow it and move one."
