I am referring to the only source material I have available for this: The Discovery Wiki. If you can point me to references on how the Sairs manage to procure another stable supply train of food, I'd love to see it. On my Benitez character I only ever see the occasional Samura transport pop by to trade food for artefacts, I've -never- seen other traders come by.

Quote:Today the Corsairs, while not as desperate as in previous ages, are still dangerously short of food, which necessitates regular shipments of smuggled food from the Houses to Crete. Their smuggling of Artifacts is a major source of income, a large portion of which is used to buy resources and food shipments from the Zoners and from the various Houses and factions of Sirius. Regardless of these (frequently inadequate) supplies the Corsairs are still using piracy and various shady business dealings to fulfil the majority of their demand for supplies and cash.
Quote:The economy of the Corsairs is based around smuggling and piracy. They are heavily involved in the transport of Alien Artifacts to third-party distributors such as the Junkers and Hogosha, who then transport the goods to dealers on House planets and bases. The profit received from this trade goes a long way towards paying for the regular shipments of food and other supplies that the Corsairs must receive from the Zoners. Acquisition of cargo from traders in and between Bretonia and Rheinland at gunpoint has kept the Corsair nation thriving for generations and with their increased dependence upon the Zoners, and the development of short range balance transfers, Corsairs are now often spotted demanding Sirius credits from unlucky victims. These extra credits are then often used to pay for supply shipments, construction of new warships, or simply the personal gain of a family or individual.

This is why I felt that the Corsairs were rather dependant on the Zoner biodomes and Zoner markets for procuring food. The [A] faction has been directly responsible for cutting off this, according to the wiki, -vital- supply to the Corsair empire.

Sorry for being vague.

/back to topic.

I would like to know more about the ZOI of the faction since the zoners are pretty spread around sirius.

The primary Zone of Influence would be in correlation to the specific agenda set forth. The short-term goal is to get the Corsairs (as a nation) into the conflict, therefore our primary area of operation would be the Borderworlds (Omicrons and the Omegas).

If we manage to get the Corsairs as a nation to set themselves hostile towards the Zoners, our long-term goal would be to try reap the rewards of the short-term goal. Therefore our zone of influence would expand to one that is identical to the current Corsair zone of influence.

I stand corrected then, and someone needs to update the Wiki:P

Hmmm maybe Daumann can support corsairs secretly because they shoot hessians, the worst enemy of this mining company. True, food not primary Daumann goods, but some supply ship what head from Stuttgart to Solarius station with full of food and synth paste can head to O41 hole. Navigation problems all time happen.... And if for it Daumann get lesser corsairs on mining fields then both party win. All for the higher profit....

I might as well throw another log onto the fire as well.

I presume that the [A] are going to honor the NAP with the BHG| / BHG|Core in the sectors that were already agreed upon with the leading families.

Now comes the fun thing - currently Omega 3, 7, and of course anywhere in Bretonia is NOT included in our NAP. But if we're going to have the Order fighting with Ossies in Omega 3 and 7, I'll give consideration to removing our ban on OUR cap ships in those systems.

And there have been discussions regarding possibly extending the NAP to the rest of the Omegas as well, depending upon what happens with the Order and the SCRA. We're not happy with pirating for the sake of pirating, obviously. But we cannot tolerate the Order having a presence over here at all.

The Anarchists [A] - Kubotan - 09-15-2010

It would be illogical for the [A] to attack the BHG if they are aiding us to attack the Zoners/Order/whatever your target may be and their possible allies. Therefore we will aid you based on the concept of common foe.

However the same does not apply for the BAF.

BHG assaulting Zoners? Oo

The Anarchists [A] - DAnvilFan - 09-15-2010

BHG Core may work. BHG itself will not simply because a lot of the Bounty Hunters in the Omegas/Omicrons are Zoners. This is one reason why Freeports allow so many Bounty Hunters to base there (in secret, of course).

' Wrote:My feedback... extremely poor RP in game for allowance to kill very weak targets, for weak reason. And thanks to you and few others you forced Zoners, the biggest Corsair food supplies to hold whole trading with Corsairs NPC faction. I wish to see in-rp results of that 'anarchist' movement in near future.
The biggest food suppliers should be FA, Junkers, Samura and hjacked corporate transports.;)

Looking forward to seeing you, Anarchists.:D
