That will solve your capspam problem aswell...
I second this, that would remove cap spam, except maybe hogosho will the the kusari explorer. 3-way events are a little bad, because there isn't usually enough people for all three sides. But what about just an order vs nomad event?
EDIT: And perhaps implement limited swearing, it got really annoying when some guy cursed twice every time he talked.

Things involving Zoners sounds fun.
My only problem is, the more sides there are, the more unbalanced it gets. For example, with the current event, you can be pretty much certain that if 'a' and 'b' and 'c' are present, it won't be 'a' v. 'b' v. 'c' - it's usually two ganging up on the other, then sitting around avoiding looking at each other until said victims have respawned and flown back.
A straight up one v. the other brawl is always more simple. Not always more balanced, but easier to balance. Did Zoners v. BHG get done?
EDIT: With the Hogsha and Xenos, if need be, give the Xenos the Zoner GB as a counter? Isn't that sold on Ames anyway?

Scratch the order vs nomads thought, how about phantoms vs nomads? Then again an admin would need to be around to beam people, so it probably wouldn't work

I can honestly say I wouldn't care. Maybe if people can blow out all the frustration and tension on a side-server that doesn't really matter, they'll stop dragging it back to this one? Who knows. I doubt that'll work, but it would be worth a shot - and hey, it might even be fun!
To be brutally honest, if it's got to the extent that someone has a 'deep grudge' against an NPC faction in a Sci-Fi shooting game, things really have gone too far. Playing as that side for a while could probably do said individual a world of good.

I think if the Hogosha use a wider range of ships, like explorer, its ok and doesnt have to be necessarily bad.
Asymetrical warfare can be fun too.
Xenos will probably be using eagles and bombers, and Hogosha Black Dragons and Explorers.
I wouldnt support a LPI vs Xeno event, because trying to kill liberators without gunboats it seriously annoying.
Order vs Nomads would be cool too.
I wouldnt limit IRP swearing, but you might want to kick people who talk too much OORP.
In the Corsair vs Zoners event there were idiots who kept spamming "everyone Q_Q" all during hte event which was really just stupid and annoying.
