Admin Notice - bluntpencil2001 - 12-12-2007 Well, any decent smuggler has an alibi. "Hey, amigo, it's a Zoner ship, I'm sure! Bought it on a Freeport, it was on sale, second-hand, si? Check out the dice hanging from the rear-view mirror! Pretty cool, huh?" Admin Notice - Othman - 12-12-2007 Well why would one fly a pirate train or transport with smuggler ID? For lawful purposes? This just labels him out that he is most probably aiming to work for smuggling and illegal trafficking of goods.. This should make the target questionable by means of policing authority even if he does not hold contraband in his cargo at that moment in my opinion. Admin Notice - RingoW - 12-12-2007 Could we come to a conclusion, that pirating in front of a police or military station/base/planet is nonsense. If the Police or Military NPC's could, they would blow every pirate faster, than s/he can say "Sorry". Attitudes like :tease:stupid NPC you cannot hurt me with your lvl 3 guns, so i do what i want.:tease: are not the best "Common Sense" of roleplay. I will not say oorp. Oorp is, when the pirat does his work in sight of police and/or military and been not attacked by lawful forces. Me never was playing a pirate, so i can not make suggestions how traders behavior should be from the pirates view. Respectful AoM Admin Notice - globalplayer-svk - 12-12-2007 AoF but then the same with military/police/bounty hunters near pirate bases.why will have one side better protection as the another? i think police or military players are here to protect traders and bases. Admin Notice - Othman - 12-12-2007 Well if a pirate is farming in front of a planet say Berlin or LA, he would not survive just by level 3 gun holding tiny npcs. There are frequent patrol spawns around these planets in major house systems which would really make the pirate's time harder. Admin Notice - Othman - 12-12-2007 So would I if I were to.. And that would be funny but you would be inspected anyway at a checkpoint.. And there would always be people those who want themselves to be exhibitioned and chased for illegal hauling.. Admin Notice - RingoW - 12-12-2007 @ global: You are completely right. Behavior of lawfuls should be the same as for unlawfuls, especially for Bounty Hunters. Which is pointing me to another question: Zoner bases. In the rumors we can read, there is a neutral space inside and around Zoner bases. Now i'm interested about the Common Sense of the community in this case. Even if the NPC's give a da**, is there a gentleman rule to stop any pvp in a certain radius around Zoner bases? Respectful AoM Admin Notice - Othman - 12-12-2007 Although Zoners are known with their neutrality, that could be a hard one to enforce AoM.. I would like to see it happen but as I said not too easy to restrict people with this.. Admin Notice - BULLDOGNK - 12-12-2007 ' Wrote:There seems to be some confusion about the re-engagement rule about traders. A traders job is to get goods from point A to point B. They come across a pirate, they refuse to pay and decide to make a run for it. If that trader can keep himself, his ship and cargo safe and land on a planet then good for him. Caylith has spelled it out big time in her post, if you guys think anything other than what she has posted will change, you are sadly mistaken, if a trader escapes its the Pirates fault not the Trader.
