Idea for fixing these: Some stations have a graceful back-out-to-the-rear exit method which always works, since the moor and docks face outward. Changing the undock sequences to such an undock (backing out instead of a forward launch) would resolve this.

Aye, but sometimes those don't work and glitch, sending you forward instead of reversing, which sends you straight into the base.
To everyone else; We still need reports of the stations this is a problem, regardless how we fix it, we have to know what station models to fix. Please read the thread and don't report stations that have already been reported.

One of the other problems with docking on stations, is the dreaded 'docking dance', where the ship will 'hunt' for the docking point and circle the station in an erratic way, forcing the player to use manual docking.
While it isn't really a major problem, it can be a pain.
Harrisburg Station near Planet Erie is a bad one for that. My 'Crane' Advanced Train, needs to be docked manually there, as well as at Isehara Terraforming Platform in Okinawa.
I'm sure there are other stations that have the same problems.
Smaller ships, for example freighters and fighters don't generally have a problem docking at either station.

When undocking with anything bigger than a tanker (I've also tried train, Typhoon and Osiris), you get stuck in the "tower part".
