Just because you lost a fight against one Mafic doesn't mean it's overpowered.
It's called a super heavy fighter for a reason. Next time you're gonna antagonise the Spatial because it has 270/270 regens.

It's not You, It's not the Mafic, It's the Scylla.
That thing, is Horrible!
I mean, all you need to do is stay behind it, and you'll be able to solo it with ease, even in a Roc.
And trust me, staying behind a Scylla is not hard at all...!
But to the main point:
Mafic is a huge flying cube - really easy to hit - but has a good armor to make up for its size and a decent firepower, but still, if it goes against a better Bomber pilot, it's most probably screwed. Also, you'll have to choose between SN and CD, which also is another huge drawback of the ship. So if you ask me, Mafic is the only decently-balanced SHF ingame, and the only one worth flying. Other SHFs are either too huge (Spatial >_>) or completely ineffective with SN (Mjolnir, Recycler).
Oh, and yeah... Mafic Del Cid, fun times!

It does cause in a pvp against a VHF, bomber or GB, you'll get touched very often because of the side of the ship. You need those botts to have a chance.
I trained a lot with both Mafic and Spatial (the flying target) and never avoided shots as with a VHF.

I agree, even if loosing a pvp against a Spatial is rare...(Despite i love this ship, god why is this beautiful wing causing so much troubles in fight rhaaaaaaaa! )

The Mafic is an okay-ish bomber without the CD slot. It's got a lot of forward firing weapon slots... but it's not agile, and a big target. The bot/bat count is rather big though, I'll admit that.
