Its not unique to discovery , but is common to any community.

Quite clearly, you're not all that knowledgable about the members of Discovery, nor about my general view point.
If you look over my post, you'll not see a single bit where I say that the older members are always right. What I said was that people have been here longer and have worked harder than any new member, ergo they deserve the respect they get from members of the community.
New players that come along, do not deserve respect. They have to earn it. This community has been here long before them and will, likely, be here long after them.
For the record, I quite often disagree with the older members.

You're new here. You don't know anything about anyone. You certainly weren't here when factions had to sit around and let everyone do what they wanted to. So, here's a piece of advice for you. Sssh. Just sssh. Play the game.
Understood that these people that don't like you have been around for much longer than you have.
Understand that these people have worked a lot harder for this community than you.
Understand that these people have worked a lot harder for their respective factions than you.
Understand that the people that have sanctioned you are amongst the more harder working members of this community.
Understand that you are new here, you have to earn peoples respect. Not the other way around.
Understand that we don't give two crap about what you think.
I don't agree with the OP either... here are some examples of groups that were accepted, even if they had nothing to do with the original lore: The Bretonian Buccaneers, the Virulian Enclave, Queen Carina's Privateers, etc. They were accepted because they were not imports and they had something plausible in their story. The members of said groups acted nicely and didn't provoked storms like some of the recent ones (th[A]t were, of course, rejected).
So, as long as your new group brings something new AND plausible for the FL universe, you shouldn't have big problems.

What clique, good sir ? This is my personal opinion on the Joker. He has earned my respect with great roleplay and interactions ingame and on the forums, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who thinks that way. That's why I said "our" respect.

What about that stupid group [SR] space rangers? They have [SR] tagged ships in Order,BMM and corsair...always shooting people with no RP etc.....but i guess they are no threat for you to getting destroyed all the time.
I seen them Ori kill alot of people who came to attack them, maybe thats why they got banned coz they dented the BHG and SCRA egos.
