I'd lose nothing, but it'd be amusing to see how lolwuts will earn their capships now.

I would lose nothing at all. Personally I don't mind if mining stays down.

Jean Pierre's children are going to be very hungry.

Yeah, I'll pretty much lose a good chunk of work that I've put into the faction over the past almost six months. In addition, six mafics, six dacites, two hegemons, and a barge will have been rendered useless. The six vaches can be converted to trade ships, so that's not a complete loss.

And, looking forward to .86, the GMS ship line and standard Gallic mining ship will be rendered absolutely pointless.

As far as general intangible items, our roleplay with the IMG in both GMS and OSI will have been all for naught, since the IMG is suffering from this too. GMS won't be able to pay the rent on Java either.

Hypothetically.

Ah, I wanted to open such a thread before. Nice.

> I lost Dublin, the ONE system I focussed my interest and game on. And if you say "man up, move on", I'll do bad things to you. Really don't because I really lost quality roleplay by this bad decision.

> IMG|Jack Henderson, my main char, is pointless without an IMG background and the IMG activity (from which roleplay develops). I spent about 90 % on that char, at the moment I hardly feel motivated enough to even log on.

> =MMC=Brian'O'Neilly is useless in his Hegemon, as MMC is in general useless now.

> Worse: I lost ALL the reason for IMG to get engaged into diplomatic roleplay in Dublin. There was such a lot of stuff, all fueled by the ore that made people crazy and incidents that happened ingame, that again triggered reactions.

> Worst: I feel that I have wasted all the time and effort that I put into giving IMG players an option to the T23 desaster that was rampant when I joined. I managed to get a lot of new players and get them into the Dublin IMG roleplay... and that was killed now. This is incredibly frustrating to me.

So, I assume, you think that every new player is a lolwut?
And every old one is RPer to the core?

Who/What Factions lost in this:

Mining factions: They have lost their primary source of Income and Roleplay. BAD Cannon.

Pirate Factions: They lost one of their most juicy targets and now have to rely upon regular merchant traffic for Credits which is unreliable at best.

Police/Militaries: Lost reasons to RP in several systems due to the loss of mining corps through the talking to the mining factions and hunting of pirate factions.

Traders in general: Lost a valuable item of transportation that fueled much of the economy and now have to ship lower-paying items and be ransacked by pirates every time.

Coalition: They lost primaries targets like the Militaries and Police forces due to them being vacant from the systems of mining and due to the working class of said systems having no reason to exist anymore have little reason t otravel there.

I'd lose membership in IMG|
I'd lose a relaxing moneymaking thingy
I'd lose all my unlawfuls. (all I was able to do was to hit slow, fat miners. Camping a tradelane is boring and risky.)

I'd lose my hopes of getting a Ranseur, a Legate and a a LABC, not fair, not fair at all.

' Wrote:There only two aspects of Junker RP that no one has ever complained about. Scrapping and hauling ore. We lose them both.

Hawk said it best and I would also like to point out the group events our faction would lose. We have a barge that we would use several Junker ships to fill with scrap. Then other Junkers would escort the barge to a station to sell it off. That operation is now ended.

As for me personally I have at least two ships to decommission that were only used for mining scrap.

For me to play as my Junker I need scrap metal to return in some form. Either let us sell it at our stations or let us mine it. Now that scrap is gone my Junker's legitimate trade is over. Having mining off is one thing but to lose scrap means I am no longer accessing any of my Junker ships.

So to answer your question what would I lose? Well if mining stays off and if they don't give us back our scrap.. I lose everything.

Well paying prey. Doesn't matter much.
