There is a thread about that.
Apparently when you use /selfdestruct, you may lose *everything*, except your money and end up with a star flier -or- I have heard that you could end up with a star flier with as many of your weapons and equipment mounted as will fit the slots.
Yes, you could end up with a Star Flier that has class 9 weapons mounted.
The only problem is that if that happens you can't launch.... because other important items are missing...... like a motor for instance.

The fact that /selfdestruct turns your ship into a starflier.. would be nice to know before you put the command in.
Can you imagine someone with a very expensive ship being told to do it and not knowing what it does?
I almost tried it on my Order LABC (SRP) but decided to try on my miner instead. Now I have a useless miner.. but it could have been worst and I could have lost my SRP which can't really be replaced...

I have tried out 5 mins ago, whith a fresh char:
Result: undock, kicked and wasn't able to come back. Server behaved, like i try to get on an corrupted char.
I restarted the game, entered server then without problems, and just deleted the ship.
@Devs: Today is not the 1st of April, or? I don't get it, truely to say..
