The AI ID was, basically, tailored originally for the Harvester faction yet at the same time was somewhat generic. The end result was an insanely messy blob of confusion.
The SMA performed a shady coup of the Harvesters with help from some shady persons who did shady things.
The SMA then promptly died and is the 00:00:00 faction we know and love today. The SMA left a legacy of confusion and maybe being friendly and maybe being not. Then the VE stepped in and everyone just thinks of them as Zoners with an AI ID.
Fast forward to today. The AI ID is an ID which has no place or purpose and is generally a confusing mess which attracts many based on its cruiser. I made a group of people called DATA RETRIEVE who quizzed people with trivia and killed them if they got it wrong. I do not understand that ID. I think what we did was legal. Maybe.
So. Yes. It's madness.
I thought the AI ID was a Faction ID just like the Hellfire ID, only open. As in, you have to respect the established AI RP existing, since these AIs are supposed to be alien-like, and shouldn't be able to interact too well with Sirians, I believe.
EDIT: I forgot to specify that the best example we ever got of this AI RP, since it never was explained was ''SCANNING, HARVESTING''.

There is no established RP. The faction the ID was for is long gone. And since no NPC's to go by? well it is open to anything. Problem is i have not seen an AI ID player RP in months. They all been just shooting anything,and everything in site without a word.

However there seems to be some kind of preconcived idea among a lot of people. that AI's are created to attack lawfuls and genrally cause trouble. I've been told meny a time that I should be shooting the BAF rather then helping them *sigh*

There is no such thing as Hybrid AIs. It's been established that they are self-aware robots who build themselves with no thoughts about humans. A Cruiser simply is a larger drone, with not a single space reserved for living beings.

Please, take the time to see what the ID was INTENDED for, don't just use it because it has a loophole to let you jack around with it...

The RP I had for my drone was that it was an exploration thing, cataloguing planets, asteroid fields, and other astrological phenomena without much care or regard for people, lawful or otherwise. Rather a far cry from the "pvp ship" thing that a lot of people seem to think AI are.
Never actually had much chance to use the RP, though, no one ever talked to me...

AI ID is a faction ID, not a AI RP ID. Most people don't get that.
