I thought their own way of communication implies they don't need words.
They have their own language, with their own words. When a Nomad puts thoughts in a person's head, they transmit loads and loads of words. The words you see in the sentence are the ones the human mind recognises, the gaps in their mind-speech are the many words, sounds or references that the human mind doesn't recognise and thus can't proccess.
So with,
"***...Learning...past...to...planets...***"
It could be a whole paragraph of speech your mind can't recognise, and thus can't proccess.
