Since you missed this earlier in the thread and apparently have no understanding of orbital mechanics:

If Sol is gone, there will be nothing left in that area. It won't be a "resource rich graveyard," because everything that *was* there will have flown off into space with no star to orbit.

when suns explode, they either leave a neutron star (Omega 41) or a black hole, it is possible there was something in the case it exploded

I am sure that NY is better than Sol ever was...

That's what happens when suns explode naturally. In this case it was not a natural explosion.

Exactly, it doesn't make any sense, DK wouldn't have any reason to blow up the sun, and nomads were in a popsicle, it's not just like "it got blown, deal with it", everything has to make sense or there will be an ENORMOUS plothole

Depends on "how" it exploded.

Or a white dwarf.

exactly

anyways, there would be left a gravity well that keeps debris and matter around.

Unless you have inflation like we hypothesize occurred right after the big bang, no imaginable explosion could scatter the mass of the entire system. You might rip apart planets and distribute the matter, but it's still a clump. If you want to insult my knowledge of physics while tooting your own horn, show me an integral or STFU.
