Bouncing from stationary objects in pvp. - Ingenious - 08-01-2011 I'm totally cool with bouncing because it is an elastic collision, just rip off a hardpoint or massively increase the damage. Bouncing from stationary objects in pvp. - ruihu908 - 08-01-2011 @NDiavolo Yes, if the game were realistically enough, a Nova Torpedo would go right through the shield. Unless the capital has a Graviton shield. Then again, this graviton concept itself is science fiction, and to me, it sounds pretty ridiculous. I mean, if they've already invented energy fields which could stop physical things, why are they still using conventional thrusters that burns on fuel? Bouncing from stationary objects in pvp. - Tachyon - 08-01-2011 @ RUI.H Quick info: All my ships use a Graviton shield , muahaha. And I think we are getting off-topic, all of us. So I will get right back. Make it an abuse, if someone break the rules by doing it, laugh about it. Bouncing from stationary objects in pvp. - r3vange - 08-01-2011 [color=#FFFFFF]Not exactly conventional, conventional thrusters do not recharge, I believe the % you see are actually power stored in a capacitor needed for the reaction not the fuel Yep that's the idea, I too reported just one guy ever, but the fact that IS declared abuse will make people do it more rarely Bouncing from stationary objects in pvp. - Daedric - 08-01-2011 Cannon didn't say doing it accidentally was abuse. He said doing what the OP described is abuse, meaning doing it intentionally is abuse. @ NDiavolo While this is a game, I come here to have fun. Another player abusing game mechanics to annoy me ruins my fun. I shouldn't have to get up and go get some air because another player feels like annoying me. He shouldn't be annoying people in the first place. Bouncing from stationary objects in pvp. - Wuselkobold - 08-01-2011 This sounds awfully like "You've killed me with the 40mm grenade launcher in CoD, hence, you must be a noob, lower valued being and a general idiot!" Some things are in the game and can be used. If you don't want something to be availiabe, remove it from the game (like some CoD/BC2 Servers do: Usage of unwanted equipment => kick). As long as it is doable, everyone has to decide for himself if he wants to use certain things or not. But as long as its possible, don't point fingers at the people who do. Besides, being sanctioned for ramming a rock in dense asteroid fields in PvP is the day when I quit playing this game. I mean seriously, everyone who ever PvPed in this game knows that you cannot avoid hitting rocks in fields in Freelancer. Bouncing from stationary objects in pvp. - Hielor - 08-01-2011 Make ramming rocks damage the ship as if the ship had run into another ship of its own size (code that already exists). Presto, big ships take big damage, small ships take small damage. It makes sense given that big ships don't belong in asteroid fields anyway. Bouncing from stationary objects in pvp. - SnakThree - 08-01-2011 Imagine blastable way through asteroids field for bigger ships? Like Hegemon making its way by blasting rocks with huge guns/rockets/hammers to the very center of mining field to get biggest yield? Ach... Off topic here, but dreaming is good. Bouncing from stationary objects in pvp. - elrica - 08-01-2011 even if cannon added asteroid damage, you'd probably still bounce....and hit another asteroid. Plus the residents of Tau23 would be royally screwed in their unturnable maffics and hegemons |
