Nope. Had fight in Dublin recently that did drag on like that, since NPC's kept respawning. My Enemy had a constant B/B source in the NPC's.

Quote:and for most often the reason for shooting enemy NPCs is not to get bats/bots... but to stop them shooting on me..

if you come with I rule like this... I actually can't defend myself. Tell this to a Corsair under fire from 12 BHG NPCs in Gamma.

The rule would only apply in PVP fights.

This is a non-starter anyway, since my opinion is in the minority.

(Hoists white flag)

Well yes.. but when he's shooting on NPCs he's not shooting on you.. and not really dodging either... so I usually manage do more damage than he can repair from those bots

And about the Gamma example.. I meant that you are fighting say a BHG.. and 12 lvl 19 BHG NPCs are firing on you... and say you are in a GB... then the NPCs are almost as dangerous as him.... sure it can't be against the rules to kill them?

My question is how do you target people's weapons? I never remember which button does what..I need a quick reference sheet or something.

I voted unsure, since I haven't run into that yet.

If your in your space and they are blasting your NPC then they are ussually easier targets. They get bot/bats out of fight you get extra guns and the resulting supporting fire from the NPCs. Like Mjolnir said if they are lineing up on an NPC with supernatral dodge abilities then they your for the takeing. I personally get killed when I turn on NPCs and when the enemy has many NPC allies.

Or those stinking Freelancer NPCs with their shield busting.

As for capships dang what are they allowed to do the list so far say no criuse, no shooting fighters, no resupply, I guess this means no support for friendly faction and sit there being a target that shoots back for bombers. Thats crap. If the enemy has a BS, RUN! or your dumb. (if the shoe fits wear it)

This is an RP server NOT an ARENA. RP is the ultimate goal not fairness of fight. Thats for the boxing ring not war. Or maybe nay sayers can convince the US not to use steath fighters and the Iraqi insurgents not to use IEDs(Improvized explosive devices)

If you want to talk about fairness then tell people not to pirate with bombers against transports because they stand less a chance than a fighter against a BS.

We need less rules not more.

White Flag!!

Stop Shooting!!

Just saw the flag powering down hand held Nova cannon. Didnt mean to sound flamish, just trying to get some gears turning another way.

I voted no. As this will be another ridiculous rule. In a PVP fight the NPCS loyal to one player should be allowed to be destroyed, as they are your enemies. Why in the Hell cant you kill them. They are easier to take out than most players so that is why they will be taken out first. Engaging your own NPCS is just stupid, as they support you in a fight.

Theres already enough rules that kills the RP dead, so please dont add another.

Bot/Batt Leaching - Zapp - 03-17-2008

Without reading a post of this, I voted yes. Why?

Trading bots (barring repair ships, seeing as they have to in order to be useful) is the epitome of ooRP to me. What is trading materials? Isn't it two ships lining up, stopping, docking, and transferring whatever goods (in this case, nanobots and shield batteries) the old fashioned way? Come on people, we don't have transporters! This isn't Star Trek! So basically, in-RP, if you were to trade bats/bots, you would die. Cuz you wouldn't be moving.

That's my take on it, and right behind my conviction of no police in cap ships.
