Being killed too much - Charos - 02-06-2012 I learned how to accept defeat before I could start winning, do the same and you'll get better. Skill has so much more to do with a fight than equipment. The game is fairly balanced, and the little advantages here and there don't effect pilots of equal skill much at all. Being killed too much - Silver - 02-06-2012 Oh hells.
Simple. Fight a lot. Die a lot. Aim and shoot. Dodge when you're being shot at. Be smart. Be intelligent. And above all that, don't make mistakes. Those are the ones that eat your hull. <3 Being killed too much - Salmin - 02-06-2012 Yesterday you was good Forlorn. Keep it up. Once you reach a certain level of skill (which I have not attained, truth be told), I think having advantages like a more agile ship or more powerful guns will make a notable difference on the average. It's always better to retreat than dying for nothing. Being killed too much - Rommie - 02-06-2012 Not really. I've found that not wanting to die can push me to last as much as another 10 minutes. A lot can happen in 10 minutes. And it's not about dying, as it is about gaining experience, which means going through the entire 'engage-fight-die' process. And yes it will take a lot of time. This can't be changed, Freelancer isn't a game based on virtual skills, but your own skill with the mouse and keyboard, being aware of what's going on around you, and understanding the game's physics. Being killed too much - ryoken - 02-06-2012 Do as i did. Fly a Colector against xenos in Eagles. Do this for awhile and believe me, after awhile when you jump into a good fighter you will rock. Learn on a bad fighter, and then goto good fighter. Learn on a good fighter, and you will be relying to much on ship, more then skill.
