Having just moved from uk to tanzania, i can sympathise a little, but at least you can count your blessings re: power supply, internet connection, roads, hospitals, cos i lucked out on those. however, apart from in a purely personal sense, no-one wants to kill me purely for the crime of utilising oxygen, so, meh, balance to the universe is restored.
have fun, and lose the 'holiday' mentality asap, and you'll settle in faster.
ps, flight socks do work, but unless zelot is over 50, i doubt he needs them.
