Actually, if I recall, about 1/2 or 2/3 of unequipped cargo will drop from an NPC when popped the rest is gone for good in the explosion. Or maybe that is due to the weapons used to bring down a ship (ie: Nukes).

:$This happened to me too recently. However, it was just a CAU 4, but Rod Hammer was in a Thresher that day. Fortunately, I was in a GB, so I shot the bastard. And the answer to the million dollar question, "Did he drop it?" is... Nooo! Not only did the bastard swipe it from right under my nose, he also mounted it while still in space. Personally, I think Rod is a member of the legendary Admin-conspiracy team. Don't be surprised if we suddenly see [Admin]Rod.Hammer somewhere in ur space, stealin' ur stuff, and then to troll it off... Hands out a sanction for littering in ur space. :haha:
