That's quite interesting, i wonder how that could have happened, since Hessians currently cannot dock the IMG station.

1st: You made a base right in CD range from mostly used pirate zone, so any IMG ship that can undock from base can easilly CD any pirate ship. so with organisation like your boys showed few minutes ago you can catch any ship within secounds and blow it apart

2nd: all IMG| sayed that this base is outpost in Freit-Aland artery. You have 2 TLs and one JG between then them, so even inRP this is not big distance to make an outpost for repairs/refuels. Also I want to know: since Omega 3 is BAF| territory, do IMG| have permission to make base there?
Omega 3 is actually freespace, not BAF space. So they really did not need permission, but they do have it.
3rd: All we know IMG working with Hessians. So I have suspicious that Hessians can use that base for some reasons they want while no-one looks on them (if you made docking right for em)
Then become a Hessien and stop whining.
4th: making a base in that location you ruining all remaining ballance for piratism in that area. All we know that now many traders can easilly defend themself or survive long enough to escape using Transport turrets and CAU8. while inRP they should hire escort for that purpose. but now traders have one more base to run to (again, if docking rights is allowed for them)
Oh gosh darnnit. Traders can run away in RP, and not get pirated? What ever shall the lolpirates do? The universe is coming to an end. Lawfuls are fighting back, and protecting traders. ROFL
Im not raging, crying or flaming on IMG| faction (but in fact I should, IMG| are mostly unballanced trade-mining faction now), I just want to see this player base things not ruin all remains of Roleplay and Ballance that existing here on Disco. More then that, this comes from Official faction.
I dont see that Corsairs made a base near already existing non-Corsairs bases. I dont see RM made a base in Omega 7 near O5 JH. I dont see Outcasts made a base in Tau 23 near T37 JH. Why do IMG have one?
A few of the above mentioned have tried to make bases in locations you mentioned. Guess what? they got blowed up. So do not like IMG base? go blow it up. Purdy simple eh mate?
And people say i QQ. In fact you have said i QQ to much. Hmm kettle/pot mean anything to you?

You could steal their supplies and sell them to assorted unlawful (or BMM) bases. Just convince one of them to put one nearby, rob every IMG transport blind, and profit from that. Now everyone wins!

Doesn't matter, the base is still only dockable to specific people or rather specific official factions, and the thread is quite senseless as well. IMG build their base their, they made it survive an initial attack while the shield were still under construction etc., which was one of the best moments I had here on Disco as well btw.
I hope no-one else will start complaining about us doing it the way we did, building the base literally over night, though...
Corsairs have their base in certain space as well, if they had managed to build it closer to an important choke point and people complained about that that'd just be as idiotic.
I'm pretty sure IMG will not allow piracy to be based of that base, and I very much hope that the ones who will have permission to dock there, use it in a carefull and behaved manner.
As for pirates previously using that spot...sucks to be you, heh? ;O Nah, well, there are still lots of other spots around and this might change the situation quite drasticly, this also means a lot more than just the piracy spot there being "taken away". Different possibilities...
Still hope someone from Rheinland puts up a base at the Stuttgart-New Berlin connection; I still don't get why no-one did that.

Well base IS in CD range. GB undocked from it and quickly thrusted to me so I could even react to escape it. and after it Bomber undocked as well. so Im dead eat. But you cant move it farther so its usless.
I mean IMG is unballanced as trade-mining faction. With that cool Bomber, ability to use own GB and Cruiser and good trade routes. But this will not change too.
I will try to change my piracy in that area. and I will try to pirate all IMG ships supplying that base as well.:)
As for the gunboat - you must have been a little north of the lane-to-gate line if it was in CD range that quick. It's out of range, but not by much. Easy to drift left or right a K or so, especially if you're shooting something. And we did position the base so that anyone undocking faces towards the lane.
As for the IMG ships - the bomber is a heavy bomber, much like the Waran, which is open to all. Our gunboat is not the best in the game, for taking out pirate transports the Kusari Explorer (which we technically can use, but don't) is better. Our cruiser is strong on the forward arc, but has trouble attacking something behind it. Trade routes - well, IMG isn't allowed to carry most restricted goods through houses. We also can't supply most unlawful factions like the Zoners can. But we do have good routes for ore trading, as mining -is- our primary activity. Usually.
KTayn: Contrary to popular belief, we don't mind being pressured every now and then. If people want to cargo-pirate IMG and sell that to BMM or assorted unlawful bases, have at it:). We'll warm up the Lhotses for you!
@Talesin: Nikita is probably talking about the Oberhausen Ore Depot near the Stuttgart gate. It's set to unrestricted docking (and is NOT an IMG base to my knowledge, at least not one IMG| has anything to do with) so anyone can get in there: Corsairs, Hessians, heck, even the SCRA could stop by for Vodka and cookies.

Anyway,this base - is pirate paradise.no BAF control,no RM control,undock from base and pirate in full mode then dock back.
