An update on recent activities and a clarification on policies.
It seems we missed out on greeting [OPG]Asno in Cambridge, and wasted fuel chasing one of these Gaian idiots in New London. Still, good work on the search pattern; I would say it will come in handy in the Omegas, but I don't think we'll have trouble finding our targets in there.
Be advised that the Guild has updated its contract network. All agents are advised to check the main notice board in Sheffield Station. This can be accessed at http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19843 The board also contains important information about regulations in operation in Bretonia.
The growing presence of mercenaries has been brought to my attention by several agents. I will confine myself at present to saying this: Bretonia is a nation at war. We are residents of Bretonia. We enjoy good relations with the lawful powers here. We work for and are paid by the BPA. It is a crime to refuse assistance to an officer of the law when requested to so within Bretonia.
The Mandalorians have proved themselves to be honourable friends to Bretonia in this difficult time. However much they may regard us as competition we will at all times attempt to maintain a professional and friendly relationship. It is my belief that by a concentrated effort we may help reduce the crime levels, thus freeing up valuable resources for the war with the Kusari. The Kusari are no friends to the Guild.
If bountied criminals do appear on your scanner, I suggest that as a courtesy we offer first lance to any Mandalorians and respond to any requests for assistance they make.
Regarding the faction loyal to King George, who claims to be the true king; we will take our lead from the BPA's statement:

After getting the Bretonia-wide broadcast of Commodore Lord George Mountbatten's "Royal Edict", you surely expect some statements.
Well, let me begin with the fact that Commodore Mountbatten did only mention one new pledge of loyalty towards him, and that pledge concerns the Armed Forces.
Seemingly, we, the Bretonia Police Authority, were left out here. Nevertheless, the BPA will remain loyal to Her Majesty until She, the House of Lords and the House of Commons together agree on a new head to place Bretonia's Crown on.
Let me also say that the BPA intends to and will intervene, should it come to brawls between pro-King and pro-Queen parties. Our job is to keep Bretonia safe, and unnecessary fights between fellow Bretonians or - as some overhasty reporters already called it - a civil war pose a serious threat to a nation which already is struggling strainedly against a strong enemy.

Joshua looked at the horde of journalists, silenced by his short, uninterrupted speech. He turned around and, shortly chuckling to himself, left the room. The door closed and he took the way back to his office.
However, it has come to my attention that the KGL is employing mercenaries to aid in the struggle, some of whom appear to be disgruntled former Liberty Navy (the 522nd) who have admitted to conducting experiments with Nomad technology. Moreover, intelligence reports suggest that the OPG has also contracted several mercenaries to target QCRF officers. Agents will regard mercenaries working for the OPG as hostiles that may be shot on sight. Mercenaries other than the Mandalorians should be encouraged to leave Bretonian space until such time as the political situation stabilises. Mercenaries working on unlawful bounty contracts are to be regarded as hostiles and shot on sight.
Do not interdict any contraband until further notice.

we appreciate the work any bounty hunter, mercenary or freelancer does in our place, meaning the disabling of enemy targets.
Still, the Bretonia Police Authority as the official policing force within Her Majesty's space does have certain privileges. One of these privileges is the supervision and control of trade traffic within Bretonia, including smuggled freight.
In short, contraband control is a job for the BPA. The Bounty Hunters Guild is acknowledged and accepted for their work of dispatching criminal and enemy craft, but the BHG is not the police.
Should you encounter a smuggler, call your local BPA officer and try to hold the suspect in place, with words.
In case of no constable being available, we'd appreciate a report on the NSY Communication Frequencies, informing us about the incident. With the necessary visual proof provided, we will then file a bounty on the smuggler, allowing any hunter to take him down.

I am pleased to report that the Gaian distraction has been eliminated.
Gaians Earth and Wind came on fighting this time around.
I was outnumbered and tried to avoid them but as soon as I noticed them split up, I dropped out of cruise and face them one at a time.
In the final battle against Gaian Wind I was hard pressed as I had already received damage from my battle with Earth.
I turned to directly face him and fired all guns. He followed suit, the result being the destuction of both ships.
I am currently awaiting ship repairs and I will be operational soon.
I have uploaded my report to Sheffield's database and had also been notified on BPA's policy on contraband.

First, congratulations to Felix on taking care of the annoying Gaians.
In regards to the BPA statement on smuggling - I will, of course, comply. It is my understanding that slave trading is not considered smuggling, per se, and that we are free to take any actions against slavers. It is also my understanding that if a smuggler shoots at me first that I am free to defend myself.
I conducted a mapping patrol of Cambridge system today to insure that I have the locations of all jump holes in my computer database. There were reports of nomad activity in Omega 5 from traders. I passed a member of the Corsair-Benitez family at the Cambridge-New London jumpgate, but was unable to engage.
I was on an emergency medical run at the time from Cambridge to Sheffield Station with an injured bounty hunter pilot that I had picked up in southern Cambridge. He had been engaged against 6 Corsair pirates at the time. I came to his aid and destroyed all the pirates. They were dropped off at Sheffield for transport to prison, he went to medical for burns.
