hm, question number 1: where someone say that this will be new house ?:)
question number 2: can be maked player wipe without and big losses? i mean this is the biggest comunity with biggest player database, with biggest number of active players. player wipe can destroy most of it.
question number 3: why france? why not latin america? (mexico, etc)
question number 4: someone type here that making houses from outcasts and corsairs destroy that faction, why? they still can be unlawfulls, only with better organisation as now, organisation as have other houses, for bretonia are kusari pilots unlawfulls,for kusari are bretonia unlawfulls, so corsairs and outcast can be unlawfulls too, but better organised as now.:)

A player wipe hasn't been mentioned by Igiss or the admin team from what I can see, so don't assume it's going to happen, and there are ways around it when adding new factions. Best to just wait and see.
As for the new house, I'm all for it, at least the French won't get overly spammed when it's added (the usual hatred for the french people have on these forums.:P) - And it opens an entire new line of RP. Think about it! New systems to explore, new house faction, maybe even new pirate factions to go along with it! And of course a possible war? Really, you never know, wait it out and see. ^_~

Just saying that I would rather see the new IDs implemented, trade routes revised, the Molly Republic installed, the Corsairs declaring themselves to be a house and Kusarian-Bretonian conflict updated.

I find the idea of Freelancer reunion extremely appealing. Now we can boast we are an expansion pack! Besides, I didn't think adding new factions needed a wipe, for example the Freelancers were added no problems last edition and so far as I can recall no wipe. I be confused.
Point No. 2, new house would be cool, but I can see any remenants from Sol being simpily absorbed by the closest existing house or wiped out. After all we don't know if they're commies or not, and they will be as advanced as we were 800 years ago, which was little resources, small population, very vunerable. But what the hell, changes are good!

Not the French. Anyone but the French. We have Spanish (Corsairs/Outcasts), British (Bretonia), Germany (Rheinland), Japan (Kusari) and USA (Liberty).
Why not have a very different culture? The Germans have their wars etc, the British have their..britishness, as do the Spanish but they all have something that people really like about them.
Freelancer Houses are pretty much just the stereotypes of nations made reality and well..the French stereotype isn't exactly very endearing in many ways.
What about a middle-eastern country? Or a collection of them?
Or Russia (Done by many mods though)?
China?
South America? (Maybe with ties to Liberty etc)
As Simon said though, finishing up other things first would be better before implementing a whole new house. (Though really system creation isn't that much work)

To summ up what's behind the link for our English people:
Coalition noticed the Nomads early and build own Sleeper ships. They had help from the Coalition till Sol got blown up and could go indie afterwards.
