RE: Firefly replacement - Croft - 07-22-2013 Sweet, is it too early to be thinking up names for it or is Firefly going to stick? RE: Firefly replacement - Swallow - 07-22-2013 Aer wants it to be the same... Having no ideas I agreed... But... Hey, why don't you suggest the appropriate name yourself and write an infocard for it pleeeeease? Anyone willing to give it a touch - feel free. Post the name, post the infocard below it... I am not very confident with my English skills... Besides wouldn't it be great if someone aside from me will give it a dev touch? Oh, and XShuttle might need a rename and infocard as well.... RE: Firefly replacement (name and infocard needed) - Croft - 07-22-2013 Here's my first whack at a name and info card. Solidarity Class Transport The Solidarity class transport is the first ship to be fully developed by the freelance community of Barrier Gate Station. Production began in early 819 A.S driven by the need for a simplistic and cheaply maintainable ship. The Solidarity pioneers a utilitarian design that allows for the rapid replacement of damaged components with mass produced modules. Costs are further cut by manufacturing the modules using widely available recycled metals and alloys. Utilising this system, the engineers at Barrier Gate have created a ship that is both rugged and cheap to maintain. A welcome addition for the many credit conscious pilots seeking a ship that won’t break the bank. RE: Firefly replacement (name and infocard needed) - Swallow - 07-22-2013 Small updates here and there, details. http://p3d.in/WDFLc (First post updated with new link) @Croft: sending to devs to see what they think. Edit: name changed... RE: Firefly replacement (Infocard might be adjusted, see 1st post) - Pilip - 07-23-2013 what about color? i hope it will not be brown....or some other vanilla undecided color..like: hey i'm yellow but nowhere there..; maybe some variation of the new trend of 2 colors like you see in jinx designs (labc for example really nice combination of collors on a shark design)! i dont know but it just looks more realistic then brute brown and light brown and slighter brown and some other brown again... (the reason whi i like liberty is the metalic blue color and really craft design of ships comparing with rest of the houses wich mostly have Attempts in trying to be different and fail at having anything...) RE: Firefly replacement (Infocard might be adjusted, see 1st post) - Swallow - 07-23-2013 PiLip, take a look here, I am planning to use these textures. http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=90719 But maybe a bit darker, because in the game contrast suffers. Edit: but I got your point, might try toying with different textures as well. Never know what might happen. RE: Firefly replacement (Infocard might be adjusted, see 1st post) - Swallow - 07-23-2013 Updated. Details added to the engines, bay doors. RE: Firefly replacement (Infocard might be adjusted, see 1st post) - Pilip - 07-23-2013 (07-23-2013, 08:25 AM)Swallow Wrote: PiLip, take a look here, I am planning to use these textures. Yep that's what i was thinking about really nice man !! (i'm just wondering just as a side thing, if you could not paint different parts or sides of the ships with some different variation of the same grey, a bit darker or lighter or even with som rusty black ....etc on brighter textures...just as a matter of creativity, well this will be acordingly with creators taste inspiration...) Anyway i see nice ships coming
RE: Firefly replacement (Infocard might be adjusted, see 1st post) - Swallow - 07-23-2013 @Pilip: that`s actually how I tend to do it. Contrast is fine thing. By the way, model is finished. Quick rest and start applying textures... RE: Firefly replacement (Infocard might be adjusted, see 1st post) - Swallow - 07-24-2013 I freeze the project till the better times, or, maybe forever. Things going on piss me off here. Also gonna take a break. |
