Strange, mine's still at 0.

You need to actually make them fumble or lock the thread because they can't respond.

Be edgier, got it

But as many people do not know that you have to limit your frame rate to < 160 (via dxtory), they got off lightly.

But that's only my guess.

Well, I'm going to be in trouble then, because I get >180 fps without changing any settings whatsoever.

Whatever, I don't mess with my graphics settings, apart from the resolution, so I should be fine. :p

*Edit: after thinking about this for a bit, I can't see how the framerate on a players PC would give that player an advantage over another player, so I have come to the conclusion that Jack is being silly or being a troll, I haven't quite figured out which yet :p

Oh, look, what I've found. Somehow I feel this could have prevented some of the sanctions. I think you know which ones.

It goes up every time you call out an Administrator.

It goes down every time you bash on someone the community has chosen to bash on. (sun)

I never knew blindness had an associated smell... Now I do.

Downloaded the latest Ati video drivers, loaded up FRAPS so it would show the frame rate and cranked up Disco.

Maxes out around 150 fps, v-sync is off and no 'tearing' in sight, so I'm a happy Trader.

Still make sure there is a cap since FPS is always going up and down, and the digit is more of a average, even when its over a fraction of a second. So a word of advice, get dxtory and cap the fps.

I expect the things you don't know would fill several books Joe.

Nice to see you have not lost your ham-fisted touch on the slights. I imagine the weather where you are is just as dreary.

What Mickk said kinda interests me. I'm no squint, so someone feel like explaining to me in english how having a high FPS gives you an advantage? =P

Your ship is lagging, even with 30 ping and 0% lag

RE: I was under the impression that..... - The Doctor - 07-04-2013

But.. how? oO

Ain't FPS that frame-per-seconds thingy that most people use to measure graphic performance? I thought it was more on the client side (better/worse graphic performance) than for the whole server -- How having a higher FPS makes you lag in an online game?
