The S/D Agency Files - pieguy259 - 02-12-2009 INCOMING TRANSMISSION TO: The Director, Search/Destroy Agency FROM: Agent Carly Denver LOCATION: Newark Station, New York System Very little to tell, really. I poked around Bretonia for a bit. Noticed Phate was out and about, but he had a large goon squad with him, and one against however many is really not a good way to fight, so I gave them a wide berth and headed up to Liberty. There was an Outcast, callsign Katie Katastrophe or something similar, bothering a Navy officer near Manhattan. I was all set to go and tear her a new one, but the idiot went and blew herself up on her own mine, so that left little else to do but go check out a Rogue sighting in California. As it turns out, there was a Barghest parked right next to the jump gate back to New York, callsign LR-Play.With.Me. I was all set to tear HIM a new one, when my engine started making rather peculiar noises and I beat a hasty retreat back to Newark to get it looked at. Turns out it was good I went to check it out when I did - the cooling system was shot, and the thing was ready to blow. I'm getting it fixed, but this really has been an unlucky day. Once again the Corsairs were thick in the systems I need to get to. Waiting for them to thin out a bit more at this time. The new crew is doing well now. After some explaing was done and attitude adjustments were handed out they fell right in line. Did I mention they that Sergeant can bench press almost 500 pounds. I think he was genetically augmented. Anyway we are one big happy, if a bit bruised, familty now. Think it helped I opened a tab with the Freeport 9 bar. So, the squad has initiated a clean-up operation. ![]() ![]() ![]() Item 2 - Attack by Order elements in Omicron Delta The Order have access to Corsair ships, heavily modified to neutralise fighter/bomber assaults. This one opened up without warning after emerging into Delta from Minor. We sustained heavy damage but persevered. ![]() Item 3 - Increased Corsair presence Large Corsair vessels have re-established presence in Kappa. We engaged and chased one from the system. ![]() Item 4 - Encounter with Nomad craft A Corsair was apparently hunting this craft despite its attempts to initiate communication. Having dispatched the pirate, we recorded images and ran scans. All data has been compiled. [color=#FFFF00]Agent Notice
There is now a new secure storage facility for agents who are performing Core operations. It is much more closer to the area of operations than the Armoury, while still remaining secure and protected at a Guild Core base. This Weapons Locker has additional scientific and research staff for the study of infected human and Nomad samples, including Nomad weaponry, in a highly secure environment. We anticipate that our studies will allow us to develop new uses for these devices, or at least better guns for our ships. End Transmission "Sir, you need to see this." Assistant Director DeVirgo looked at the new press release that came across his scanner. "Oh, this is just lovely... Looks like Harvey must've already had a press release sent out before he was 'retired'. George will hit the roof. Oh, well, at least we've got the damn thing operational, anyway." "Yeah, it's about time. APM was slow on getting it deployed." "Apparently Cryer threw a hissy fit about their storage lab schematics suddenly turning up missing from their files, and APM had to do some redesign work at the last minute," Max said. "They found out their files were missing? I thought I did a better job than that of covering it up." Max looked at his secretary. "Oh, you did. It just turned out that someone ELSE tried to break into their files that wasn't as smart, and got caught. Seems like that was the reason behind some of those Corsair raids into Cambridge lately." The S/D Agency Files - pieguy259 - 02-13-2009 INCOMING TRANSMISSION TO: The Director, Search/Destroy Agency FROM: Agent Carly Denver LOCATION: West Point Military Academy, New York System DAMN. DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN BLOODY SODDING DAMN! ...ahem. Today was one of Those Days. I undocked from Newark to see a RoS in a Falcata who had seriously ticked off even the Rogues, somehow. It quickly became apparent why. He'd apparently captured a Fleet Admiral and was torturing him, somehow, while flying. Naturally, the Navy offered a rather substantial bonus. "Perfect," I thought. "I'm eating tonight". Yeah. Right. After chasing the irritating little sod all over the system, myself, a Freelancer and a couple of Navy pilots cornered him near the California jump gate. I leaped into the fray, expecting to make short work of the nuisance. I soon, however, discovered two things: he'd most likely picked up batteries and nanobots at the Rogue Destroyer, and oh yes, I believe he had an Inferno on board. After a long firefight, I ran out of regens, and decided to beat a hasty retreat. I headed for the jump gate to California, and it was then that the RoS finished off my ship. Fortunately, I had the presence of mind to switch off my escape pod's comms before screaming the worst profanities I could think of regarding him, his mother and everyone who had ever associated with him at the top of my lungs. That's it. If anyone sees [RoS]Enojado[W] out there, I want them to surgically remove his necessary organs for furthering his bloodline and give them to me, so I can have the distinct pleasure of pounding them into a blood-stained pulp with a large hammer. Or, better yet, deliver them to me while still attached, so I can listen to him scream while doing it. ...Calm down, Carly... have a drink or something... ...wait, this is New York! LIBERTY ALE. Ship- S/D-Stheno Location : Freeport 11, Omicron Delta Subject: Mission status Message reads: ![]() Well we made it to Freeport 11. Snuck in while the Sair's were giving some of their folks some training it seemed, at least thats what the comm traffic sounded like. I'm stopped here getting a weapons refit, since these Zoners have some nice guns for Stheno. Swaped out my secondary guns and a Cerb for 3 Solaris. This will take the rest of the day to do, so we will set off first thing in the morning. Our first mission is to get that Unknown system mapped out. Got the new crew running drills and safety inspections. They finally have seemed to accept their situation. Most of them are exicted having never been this far out before. Appears most of them had never been out of house space or our gaurd systems. Will get a roster together and have them officially transferred to duty aboard the Stheno. Should have some intel here in the next few days. Brent Mako out **End of Transmission** The S/D Agency Files - pieguy259 - 02-14-2009 INCOMING TRANSMISSION TO: The Director, Search/Destroy Agency FROM: Agent Carly Denver LOCATION: West Point Military Academy, New York System I hate Liberty. The moment I undocked from West Point in my replacement Manta, I was confronted by a mercenary "Ann Gaudro" in a Taiidan Bomber, looking to fulfil the Lane Hacker's bounty on Bounty Hunters (the sodding cheek). I was determined not to give her the satisfaction of claiming the bounty and so decided to teach her a lesson about messing with the Search/Destroy Agency. As it turns out, she wound up teaching me a lesson about messing with a mine layer. So, that was a sodding useful day. I hope Gaudro runs over her own mine and dies horribly. And that goes double for the sodding Lane Hackers. Can we have her bountied, or something? Give her a taste of her own medicine? END TRANSMISSION The S/D Agency Files - MRA_Friction - 02-14-2009 Incoming Transmission To: Directors From: Sebasitan Page Subject: Report 11 Priority: Normal Gentlemen Quick day today, but it was not without incident. Was at the bars in New London, nearly being sick with all the pink and hearts, and loved up women about the place.. but i reiceved a com from crash saying that Athenia's Memory was in need of assistance in Cambridge, he himself was unable to assist as he was escorting APM-Virgo. I quickly made my way to my ship and left the planet with a vector towards cambridge jump gate. When i arrived at cambrige long range sensors placed serval ships my the Omega-5 jumphole. when i approrached the jump hole a merc was being questioned by BAF, apparently for attacking the military, we muttered what and idiot to each toher and left him to the firm grip of the BAF making our way to battleship Norfolk. I noticed that remote sensors in leeds was picking up molly contacts, i suggested that we made our way there and meet up with crash, who by now should be fnishing his escort. When we entered the system, the BAF beat us to the punch and where taking care of the mollys. Our spirits where getting low when a lone corsair contact appeared from the Stroke base direction. Me and crash broke formation and engaged the hostile. they attempted serveal times to escape through the trade lanes, which we where taking down to stop the coward from fleeing. Crash was using his usual tactic and dropping mines and hoping they hit when i noticed that one was quite close to sair, but wasnt going to reach because of his speed, so i launched a cruise Disruptor which set the mine off, completely destroying the ship. Gotta love Neuclear mines. ------------------------------------- ![]() ------------------------------------- ![]() ------------------------------------- end of message. Ship- S/D-Stheno Location : Freeport 11, Omicron Delta Subject: Mission status Message reads: ![]() Well we delved into the Unkown system today, and let me tell you, that is one odd place. Filled with large, razor sharp rock and a murky green cast it reeks havock with visibility, but does not seem to affect sensors. I did my best to map the place, but the nav computer refused to record the data. Here is all the nav computer would come up with ![]() Now scanners worked just fine since from the second I entered the systems I detected the Nomad base, or lair as the scanner called it. It's very close to the entrace to Delta. Loaction of Delta JH So I locked on to the base and decided for some close passes. I can only assume that it was the base that was jamming up my nav computer. I also notice that my threat indicators were going off like crazy. They showed threats all over behind me, but as you can see from the scanner there are no ships with in range. We have a discovery scanner on board S/D-Stheno, so the range is long. Nomad lair01 Here is a closer look from a different angle. Nomad lair02 Now I can only assume that these protrutions we see in this picture are docking stations for larger ships. Nomad Lair03 We did take some fire as we circled the lair, but it was easily enough avioded. One bolt did hit us and it rocked the shields, so becareful if you enter here. We noticed that on the top there was this pulsing opening. It must be the entrance for smaller craft. Here is a pic with the opened circled. Hard to tell in the pic I know. Nomad Liar Entrance? We also found a jump hole into the Minor system. This muct link up with the one I found in Minor last trip. I pulled up the nav map so you could at least see our position. Minor Jump hole Now you can see from the scanner that I am only 300 or so meters away from it, but the nav map will not record it's position. This base is very odd. We cruised around a bit, but found nothing else. It was a tad unnerving with no nav map so did not want to stray to far from objects that came up on the scanner. Also here is the crew list for S/D-Sthenno. We have Adimar Mannus, he is the Bounty Hunter guard sergeant I told you about. Made him my security officer. We then have Toby Vallus, my co-pilot. James Emmerson is my load master. He is skilled at dealing with hazrdous materials and is modifying our hold to contain the samples we may aquire. He pretty handy with a welder. We took on some ship hull parts from Freeport 11 for the job. Pedr Cagogan is my gunner. Good shot that kid, should do well. Last we have Rhys Eaton, he is my ships mechanic. Knows the Gun ships well. Please make sure they get listed as with the Stheno incase something happens to us. So here we are back at Freeport 11, getting ready to head out to Iota. My next report should contain the map for that system, and hopefully some more samples for our boys at R&D. Maybe next time one of those R&D boys would like to come along.
