RE: Crayter Military Reporting Facility - Crayter Republic - 12-27-2021 ![]() Commander Donovan, The Ministry and Fleet Command have great concern from comms and traffic reports coming in from the main throughway between Bretonia and Gallia. Tensions seem high and fleet movements noted, much higher since the icy embargo was put into place. In the interest of Peace in the Taus and our continued commercial activity, we therefore are ordering you to take what elements you see fit from the 18th Strike Group to the edge of the Orkney System where you will maintain the peace of the Taus in the name of the Crayter Republic. We believe cooler heads will prevail, but under no circumstance will we abide this warmongering in the regions they deem as "fronteir" space as we have many citizens lives, and economic interests at stake. Do not, under any circumstance allow your units to be the aggressors, but you are authorized to use any force available to you in defense of Crayterian assets. For those we left behind. The patrol cruiser Hermes came upon a firefight between the Bretonian dreadnought HMS Grandiose and local Gallic Navy forces. We were able to get the situation broken up but the Bretonian vessel was showing extensive damage. We convinced her captain to cease hostilities and explain themselves in exchange for escorting her back to the Tau 31. The Captains "explanation" if you can count it such seemed more like the ramblings of a small time warlord then an officer of Her Majesty's Navy to be honest, filled with contradictions and the like. He informed me the Bretonian Armed Forces were on full alert in a "peacekeeping" capacity.... thats main directive was to beseige and destroy all Gallic installations in the Orkney system to create some sort of void buffer between Crayter and the surrounding Houses. I informed this imbec- emmm person, that the Republic would ensure the peace and security of the Taus and that their actions were illegal and inappropriate for an officer of the Bretonian Kingdom. After the Grandiose headed off for field repairs, we directed the Hermes back into Orkney and found the last Gallic Navy bomber pilot that was engaged in the firefight to get their statement. This individual, one Gabriel.Cadieux, told me this was the latest in waves of attacks upon their installation Fort de Bregancon, and upon their local defense garrison. Whilst still interviewing this Gaul, deep scans again picked up HMS Grandiose, freshly patched up with a bomber escort. The Bretonian, without a comm recognition, immediately took up long range firing position and unleashed all her salvos on the Gallic station! At this point, my command crew and I thought we were in some fractured reality and finally regained composure enough to hail the Grandiose. Her captain started hurling all sorts of insults about us being traitors or some silliness and the Hermes repeatedly ordered her to ceasefire. Even after taking up a defensive stance directly in front the Gallic station in the Bretonian warships direct line of fire, they blindly kept up their bombardment, without care for logic or their allies health. All atempts at reasoning with the insane commander were futile, and they were soon joined by other Bretonian war vessels including the dreadnought HMS Sovereign. This vessel was similarly captained by the mentally infirm who informed us that Crayterian vessels should protect them from the very Gallic garrison they were bombarding! The area started becoming choked with Gallic and Bretonian snubs, a Gaian who seemed very interested in killing Gallic forces and aiding the BAF vessels, an Auxian who seemed to lurk at a distance and soon escalated as Gallic reinforcements were called in to defend their facilities but were heavily outnumbered and quickly taken down. It was at this point that we could no longer affect the situation, apparently dealing with madmen in charge of Bretonia's fleet vessels. It is my opinion that the situation is untenable with the currently allocated patrol forces and request Command clarify our next course of action. RE: Crayter Military Reporting Facility - Spectre - 01-06-2022 ![]() To Sulawesi Command, this is Commodore Grey reporting. Around 19:20hours we got wind of another Bretonian incursion into Orkney. The Argos was deployed to defuse the situation, but by the time we had arrived only one Bretonian warship, the Grandiose, remained. We closed range and began to try defusing the situation, though during the resulting pause in the fighting the Grandiose continued to fire heavy artillery at the Gallic installation nearby. After bringing the Argos into position between the station and the Grandiose, the Gallic Naval forces retaliated, and despite our demand that the warship retreat, the Grandiose was disabled. Another Bretonian officer, Commander Isaak Heinrich, approached from the south, and opened fire on Gallic vessels for the loss of the carrier. After several demands of disengagement, he fled to the east. Two more Bretonian vessels, the battleship HMS Quatus and Ensign Wilfred MacLeod, approached from the south, but were effectively dissuaded from engaging, and were escorted to the Tau-31 system by Argos, FV Hermes (which had approached not long before), and pilot Eric Fraley. We left the Gallic forces to deal with the local unlawfuls that had grew during the situation while we ensured that Bretonian forces were returned to their territory. That is all. Bretonia is attacking a Gallic installation in the Orkney system. My ship =CR=FV-Tyran|248 arrived as the gallic defenses were failing to hold back the siege unit from Bretonia. They first ignored our pleas to stop the fighting entirely. After they wiped out the defenses only then did they respond to my calls. They talked down to me and said to go back to Crayter territory. Guncams and logs should do all the explaining of what happened. They were even armed with a Core battleship. The Tyran even moved in front of the siege group to dissuade them from firing but they did not stop and some looked like they were aimed more at us than at the base! We received minor damage after our shields dropped and with no chance to make them stand down I returned to Tau-31. https://imgur.com/Q3pC2hZ https://imgur.com/PRHig4i https://imgur.com/v5dfl2x https://imgur.com/dJcfTsC https://imgur.com/EK6C2AZ For those we loft behind, Scott Garan. I have heard rumors of such but this was my first time meeting such a vessel. The AI was doing some research into how humans behaved and Garand suggested a combat exercise and the AI agreed. It followed us back to Planet Yuma then Garand and I switched to our bombers then initiated the exercise. Garand's vessel was disabled and mine was close then Garand called an end to the exercise. The AI thanked us for the experience and left. Garand then switched to a freighter and I switched to my Nyx and we went to Gallia to get some supplies and bring them back to Sabah Shipyard. Then our day ended. RE: Crayter Military Reporting Facility - Zentor - 02-04-2022
Accessing secure datalink... Link Secured Sender ID: Capt. Zentor Velaryon Recipient: Command Source: Deep Taus Subject: System Survey Report Increased activity and frantic reports of violence have been rolling in all week of disturbances within the Orkney System. Refugee activity is being noted by our IMG collegues in Tau 23, and from the market lanes leading into Tau 31. The patrol Thanatos-class cruiser Hermes was again assigned to investigate this uptick in activity. Due to the increased signs of violence the Hydra-class gunship Maxim was assigned as escort for the mission and we peacefully entered the Jump Gate to Orkney. Taking the lanes towards Vierzon, our trip was cut short by destroyed lane infrastructure several k's short of the intended intersection and we proceeded in a SE direction to investigate the surrounding fields. Deep sruvey scanners showed a new anomaly in the 7G sector so we made wake at once. As we approached, we detected to our surprise a snubfighter with a transponder showing it was of the Order but we quickly lost contact before we could raise comms. Upon arriving at the jump anomaly we paused and did several deep survey checks using our onboard equipment and readouts showed it was fully stable and so we made ready for jump transition. Beyond the anomaly, we found ourselves in a new system, in an ice field with a number of terrestrial bodies and a gas giant in the distance. The system had a binary star system, and we've transmitted all the mundane details as we made course for the nearest terrestrial bodies. After spending some time taking reading's, ship scans began picking up readings of another- vessel, moving quickly towards our party. Station readiness was called, and the new contact turned out to be a hostile alien war form based off archive data. It seemed to be originating near one of the terrestrial bodies on the other side of the gas giant from our point of entry. The thing was massive and was emanating some communication of warning of our imminent destruction. The Captain the of Maxim and my deck crew decided it prudent to stay at a distance and observe it a moment but it came on again, urging our dismissal from the system, which is seemed to claim as its own. Our team was not ready to fight a vessel of this magnitude in uncharted space and felt the need to report the intel a higher priority and set course for the same entry point we used. I've attached all comms and scans for Commands review. We stand by in the Deep Taus awaiting further instructions. During this patrol Bretonian and gallic forces were once more found fighting in the system. One suspicious gallic ship was found fleeing the scene followed by by the Bretonian ship the Hastings. The Tyran joined the pursuit when told it was equipped with nomad tech onboard by the Hastings. After a lengthy pursuit the gallic ship GNS-Toulon (the suspect) decided to planet dive and destroy itself. The Tyran was however able to get close enough to get scans and confirm that the ship was in fact equipped with nomad tech. Following it's destruction we withdrew to Tau-31 leaving with more questions than when we came. A Gallic navy ship was questioned about the unknown ship but they seemed to not know of it. The Tyran will launch another patrol of the system soon to investigate more into the matter. Tyran out... Should any ship resist they are to be dealt with accordingly, with force if necessary. Should any try to flee back in the direction of Vespucci and out of the Republics borders, you are not to pursue. They have chosen to die in fire. Should any be carrying and/or escorting a vessel carrying refugees they are allowed to stay within their course, and be given the choice of surrender or returning from which they came. Fleet Admiral Crayter Republic RE: Crayter Military Reporting Facility - Spectre - 07-04-2022 ![]() ◄◆◆► To Sabah Command, this is Commodore Grey reporting. Several says prior to this report, Flight Group 1118 set off from Sabah to engage in a diplomatic effort with denizens of Crete. Utilizing hyperspace passage, our envoy and escort accompanying made way to Omicron Theta, en-route to O-Gamma to meet with the Corsairs notified of our arrival. On travel to the local Freeport and the Gamma anomaly beyond, escort vessels sighted and confirmed the presence of Dreadnought Basilica within the system, which had previously been assumed to be effectively irreparable after the loss of the Hades. It appears that the ship has spot repairs, but with a new compliment of escorts, none of which were enough to deter the envoy. Upon arrival in Gamma, the formation was welcomed within Crete's orbit, where CIS vessels Mercury and Snake Eye proceded to transfer their cargo into the hands of the Deterrence vessels in vicinity. As gestures wrapped up, ships began appearing on long range scanners, first being local AI, with an Auxesian bomber soon joining them. They first appeared to target our hosts, but soon began targeting our own vessels as well. Naturally, I gave the order to fire, and the pests began dropping and scattering as they do. One Corsair was lost to the fighting before we were provoked, and Anderson's fighter struck something once we entered the fight, but as compensation the Auxesian bomber was practically obliterated through sheer volume of fire, and two of the three AI were shot down not long after. After another quick flight through hyperspace, we returned to Yuma, all ships accounted for. The logs from the Tyche have been attached below for the Ministry's usage. The AI ships native to the region were operating in tandem with the Auxesian we encountered. There is likely a connection there that I imagine the CIS will want to investigate. If any AI present themselves within our own territory, I recommend extreme caution. Finally, I would like to recommend Lieutenant Anderson for a promotion, despite his brief actions in the field, he showed no fear or detachment from his duty. Regardless, we will continue our operations otherwise as posted. That is all. Today we have discovered an alliance between the Lane hackers, Auxesia, and the ALG! The Lane hacker vessel wanted to smuggle a load of Cardamine through our space, and called their allies from Auxesia and Rheinland for help when they got caught. The Rheinlander and Auxesia attacked us while their close ally departed the area. I recommend issuing a warrant on the Lane Hacker and ALG organizations. A fight then ensued, where we repelled the arriving Auxesian and Outcast forces with minor losses. |
