How about Dennis Porter, who loves knocking out teeth in brawl fights? Or how about Perry Crawford, the former member of the BAF who became the defense commander on Freeport 10? Or the fact that Freeport 10 continuously fought against Outcasts and did not surrender? Or how about Freeport 2 kicking out all Unioners out of the station?
In any case, what does this has to do with the subject of unification vs. total seperation?

To be neutral is to be indifferent. Recognizing a nation's sovereignty over a borderworld system isn't neutral. It's called picking sides. Those examples you've mentioned also fly in the face of neutrality. Just because you haven't seen a ruckus, doesn't mean that it won't happen in the future and it definitely doesn't mean that somebody is neutral merely because no ruckus is happening.

That's not an issue!
That's a roleplay set up.
If Discovery had an RP manual you could buy at WalMart, you'd open it up to the "Zoners" section and you would see the following:
"The entire galaxy hates Zoners because they let enemies hang out at Freeport bars. Corsairs hate Zoners because they let Bounty Hunters base out of Freeport 9 and want that station destroyed. Meanwhile, Liberty has signed a new law in which 'any Zoners who sell goods or services to any criminal group have broken Liberty law and therefore are criminals themselves.' Everybody wants Zoners dead. Good luck."
That's why you play the Zoners - because of that very challange. Why is everybody and their mother claiming this as a game development design issue?
Unbalaned ships is an issue. Too many systems is an issue. Zoners being hated by everyone is not an issue. That's their roleplay!

Well I agree with you completely about this being a setup for good RP. Now how do you propose we explain this to the rest in a way that will finally stick?:DBecause just like Dublin ore rush was a good setup and Freistadt unlawful ambiguity was a good setup, so is this. But I have little faith that this won't be pushed to be acted upon in some other way than by just RP.

Administrators need to step into threads like this and slam down verdicts on which issues are legitimate RP issues and which are redundant statements about what the Discovery RPG Manual already tells you, and therefore aren't issues at all. It would take all 2 seconds and perhaps people would finally get the message after a while and stop these threads entirely.
It would be like if I'm playing D&D and then suddenly make a thread complaining about Elves having pointy ears.
