Don't think we don't appreciate good-RPing folks, especially with capital ships, which can sometimes be a rare commodity.
You gotta understand that we often take a good quantity of flak because of "unbalanced fights", so we are sometimes careful, and too careful. Sorry if it came off as condescending or as an insult to the way you RP, I'm sure whoever said what was said didn't mean it as such.
Also, PM Meek the names if you wish, he really will look into it. He's recently become our resident hardass.

Well from what i'v seen of CR (On several of my chars) your RP appears to be improving and the "DAIDAIDAI" factor has gone down. Keep up the excellent work and keep riding your recruit's arses.;)I'm currently doing the same on my end (The last one to use OORP in system got yelled at for awhile quite harshly.)

But in that second scenario you listed, you clearly weren't needed. The Gunship runs, and the battleship is running away and its shields were down - it was clearly losing. So no, you weren't needed, actually. And what exactly are you complaining about if the CR told you not to engage, since they thought it was not necessary to engage, and you don't engage if its unnecessary?

No sir, I was more pointing out that a) I was YELLED at not to fire by 1 CR b) other CR had requested me to hold that position to prevent it going to Tay 37, which is what I intended to do since there was little risk to my vessel - had there been risk I would have not moved away from Java.
IF the aforementined CR had said " Let him go ICMG there is no need , we will persue it" or " Let that sniffer run, he is no threat" or anything to that effect I would be fine with it. I am happy to follow the CRs requests especially if phrased in RP.
But it didnt say that it said " GET BACK ICMG!, DO NOT OPEN FIRE " words to that effect and definitley in caps , then it said "Engaging <battleship name>, eat SNAC" and chased it into T37
I was simply aggrieved that this was said unnecessarily rudely and I do not belive for one second that this was due to this characters RP.
I do want to reiterate again that this is a small and rare issue, and does not at all difinitivley define my view of the CR.

My viewpoint on this would be that anyone above Corporal in rank in CR is liable to shout in all caps in very certain terms, particularly in a combat situation, to deliver clear instructions in the fastest, most noticeable, and most direct way possible. Don't take it personally if someone happens to talk to you like this, I'm sure they don't mean anything by it, merely they're still in the habit of herding easily confused privates with strong words.
That said, I'm sure we'll all take note of the issue, however small it is, and try not to say anything that could be taken as offensive in the future.
