Your first task will be to (//make a new ship,) go to New York, Dock on Planet Pittsburgh and buy a Camara.
With this Camara I would like you to do some deliveries for us.
With another AFC or on your own, fly to Omicron Gamma and buy Artifacts. You will then smuggle these to Manhatten in New York for a nice profit.
Don't be scared though... just take it easy and you should do fine. Keep an eye out for any cops around that might stop you and stay hidden.
As always the ship name convention is:

So where should I begin.
I was born somewhere in the Omicrons on a Pirate Liner.
I do not know much about it only that my fathers Liner (my father was a Corsair and a experienced smuggler) was attacked by Rheinland intelligence, I do not know exactly. What i know is my father and his crew tried to escape.
These were the first hours of my life.
The ship crashed at planet Kurile and almost the whole crew was dead. Also my Mother and my Father.
I survived, but my parents did not. Dimitris, a friend of my father took me with him and helped me to grow up on Planet Crete. He had a lot of influence in empire and his hobby was to work as an aeronautics engineer . Everything what I nowadays know(about Starships), I know it from Dimitris.
Do make it short now. With 15 years i was able to get a job at the Skiros Station and i learned to fly my first fighter (I still have this old thing but only because i'm nostalgic).
When I was 17 years old, I became self-employed.
I smuggled a lot, i helped pirates to escape (for good payment), fulfilled bounties ... but my favourite activity is, to fly races.
I won a lot of races and some not. Nothing in this ugly world makes me happy. When i can climb in my Cockpit and fly Races throughout Sirius the world seems to be ok.
My life has not much sense. Except I'm sitting in my fighter an i can feel the speed in my veins.

Description: A young Kusari Man black hair semi short and fit. He used to fly mega freighters for Samura and he was passed around to different companies. After one too many run-ins with the Hogosha he sold his ship (for what little he could) and left Kusari. He paid a lot of money to have his ID changed and figured he wanted to try again only this time he would do it for the other side. Pirates gotta eat as well and they seem to do better as long as they stayed away from the big guns.
Why you want to join: I used to run transports for fun but it wasn't very challenging I would now like to try my hand at smuggling

Do you know how to do a barrel roll?: I got a little training in fighting but not much. I know how to be hard to hit with a fighter a transport is all together different and I haven't had much training fighting with them.

Are you friends with any cops?: I am only friends with them as long as they serve my needs after that they can die in a fiery comet for all i care. I hold no friendships with any faction yet. Though I am not opposed to making some.

-"Description? Am I an object or something? Well whatever, I guess a little bit about myself goes here. Ever gazed down at the overwhelming neon lights of New Tokyo, when ever flying by? Its a sighting that is sure hard to forget. Well, as previously mentioned the name is Nev Uruyu, but friends call me Strobe or Neon, feel free to call me that yourself if it suits you. I guess the first thing that comes to the eye is this, awkward synergy between my name and last name, and there is a simple explanation behind it. As mum' used to tell me, my 'scumbag' father had left as soon as he found out about the apothecary lady's bad sense of humor. So...about a few days before I popped mother married to Sato Uruyu, a simple Kishiro businessman, he had money of course. I don't remember him really clearly though, as by the time I was five he got poisoned. Cutting the drama down, you know how Kusari is. The ex wife took everything, and me and my mother were left on the streets. Thankfully she was 'crafty', so at least we had a place to live. Skimming ahead again! I lived across a music supply shop, who was held by a man I can truly call a father. Shimozuma Takashi was his name. When ever my mother brought a client home or whatevs, I used to hang out around there, helping out mister Takashi. In his free time he would teach me how to use the instruments there. I was handy with everything he had, but the two things that I stood out on was the Launchpad. Seeing my interest in electronic music he taught me how to produce my own beats over the course of years I spent there. I really felt relaxed, forgetting about all the problems as I played my own mix. Even with all the time he invested in me, Shimozuma-san had his own family, so at times I couldn't spent at his place I roamed the city. I didn't have any friends, but at least there were clubs to hang around, its Tokyo I mean! But, none of them felt the way they should...you know, the crowds energy, the bounce, their simple style of appearance. It all felt too casual and bland, the DJ's were too dumb to pump up the crowd. Though I was 'saved' one day, just siting in the corner sipping my drink, a blonde haired girl approached me. She leaned up to my neck, I could feel her warm breath on my neck as her hand reached into my pocket, then she moved passed me disappearing as quick as she appeared. When I reached into my pocket I found a blue card, it spelt "Neon" on it, and it had a chip as well. An address was also written in the corner with tiny white letters. Well, I was curious, nothing I can loose I thought. So the next night I roamed the streets for three hours straight until I found the address of a...service bay hatch? And an abandoned one too! Must be a joke I thought, but as soon as I got a little closer I noticed a flash of blue light from underneath. So, slowly I gulped knocking on the heavy steel door, that were soon opened by a large bald dude in a suit. Damn he was scary. Noticing the card I had he let me in without any questions. The first sighting stunned me in place. Neon blue strobe lights were litten up as the DJ dropped the hard bass making the versitile crowd bounce with energy, over at the bar I noticed the girl from the club, it got my hearth pumping. I ran up to her asking why did she bring me there? She said 'because you looked like you were bored' and smiled leaving me there confused. I was standing close to the elevated DJ booth as I made my way to the crowd, and the DJ suddenly called me out. 'Step on the stage, I'v heard of you.', yeah those words don't sound confusing, but to me they were much were. He stepped down off as the booth dropped, and pushed me in front of the mixing table, so by the time I tried to get off I was already ten feet high. I gulped, I was sweating, my pulse was rising and the crowd was silent. But eh, I knew what I had to do. I slowly inserted my memory chip into the holoprojection computer. The only thing left was to select the project file. Looking at the crowd I determined I should go with something...hard. The bass dropped, the crowd bounced. The adrenaline got to my head, I synced with the crowd as I bounced to hype them up. The thought of them dancing to something I created made me feel like I really belong there, rather then in any other club on the whole planet! That was a feeling I rarely got to experience. The whole crew that held the illegal, yes, illegal club congratulated me on the performance afterwards. We became friends over the course of years. But to be able to always stay at the club I had to do my share of work, besides rolling the table every now and then. I mostly smuggled in the orange stuff when ever I could get to space, while on the surface I did jobs such as smuggling in local supplies, ranging from drinks to 'medical equipment', which was used to inject Cardi in every way it possibly could be injected. Even working with that stuff, I can say I'm not an addict. Never tried, don't feel like ever trying it. I bonded with everyone in the club there over the course of five years. Oh, right now I'm 24 by the way. Back to the story, pretty much the whole point of me wanting to join you guys is the fact that about three months ago the club was raided by the state police, as they found out about the smuggling route. Most of the members of "Neon Blue Runner" were arrested or shot trying to defend themselves, I on the other hand was doing a live performance in space around Kyushu. Yeah, the news shocked me, and I wont be able to get over it in a while...but I need to find a place to fit in again and get my thoughts away from it, thought this would be a nice group to try out with."

Let me get straight to the point, kid. If you'd been an addict to the orange fart then we'd be having a different discussion here. But well... you're not. Are you? Heh...
We could use a guy like you... and I'm sure you'd find a place with us at one of our clubs. We'll try you out. See how you handle playing and keeping us known for the best parties around.
But see... here's the thing. I don't care about your mom here or any of that... What I care most is if you're going to be loyal. Everything else following... yeah. Good plus. We could use that.
So here's the jist.
I'd like to see you pull a little stunt for us from the club.
You're going to get your hands on some stabaline and then head to Planet Malta. You're going to make sure some 'cast sees you and then you're going to litter their morring bay with the stuff. A little present from us, if you will. Then you'll get the hell out of there while he -should- be pissed off and chasing you. If you DO manage to blow the 'cast out of the sky... there will be significant pay for that, though don't make the first move in Alpha. Let his face boil. Works best.
Once you manage to evade him without docking anywhere then you'll have completed the mission.
Hop in on the arrow you'll get. You'll be doing this mission without armor or cheetah thruster. We can't afford to loose valuables here to peps that cant take care of business well.

Nev failed to meet requirements to break out of virginity and has been rejected from continuing his AFC career. We will find another DJ of some use to us.
In other news, thread is closed for repairs and re-vising recruitment system. The current system is now halted.

this is an official message to say we are currently closed for maintenance of recruitment.
the problems were the following:
-Character development was poorly started and did not have the required spark to bloom for members.
-Lack of dedication for some new recruits that showed enthusiasm but quickly left/changed their minds.
-The 2hours minimum for [V] doesn't work. Challenges that are supposed to be doable for new recruits are seeming to be too difficult for some and they get discouraged.
-Un-educated recruits that do not know what the faction is about.
The new recruitment system will aim to fix these issues and to help sort out the people that are willing to move forwards in the faction from the people that are not and quickly change their minds.
in short, the plan is the following:
-The new recruit will need to be RPing first as a hang-around of sorts. There will be more than one method to do this varying from participating in AFC events, flying with AFC in-game, RPing with AFC on forums in ex bars, or other means.
I will be trying to make ways so that players will have different options be make themselves known and trusted by an {AFC}- member.
Through all this, they will show their dedication but also will be developing their character.
-Have the hang-around apply when they think they have enough interaction with AFC and an AFC member will need to sponsor the individual.
-An idea: Making an indy racing communications network on forums as a message dump where some recruits could be fished out of perhaps. Not 100% sure on how this will turn out as it might become a 'joke' to some members of the community.
-Add a small Test with questions to test lore understanding.
-Bio of the character will be more strictly looked at when applying. I can except creative characters, but nothing too silly. Too silly characters have shown to fail over time.
-A month (or 2) after joining the faction, the new member should have submitted a post for our "meet the faction" section (coming soon).
