I can read, and with all honesty, all i saw was someone crying out loud for NPCs, because they're so important right? What would you say if... let's say - You're fighting someone, you're literally owning that someone and then out of nowhere 2000000000000 Snubs, Gunboats, BSs, BCs and hell knows what else spawn in front of you. That someone uses them as cover and you just get instaed by those NPCs. What would you say then? Thank the NPCs?

You have no idea how it feels to have your game ruined because of a stupid NPC spawn right in the middle of your fight so your argument is invalid. Like i said, you want 1000000000000000s of NPCs? You have Single Player for that.

Toris if you want to hunt NPCs, go play singleplayer. I hate to sound blunt but multiplayer is for playing against/with other players. NPCs should only be scenery at the very least, however even then they still continue to bug and annoy the majority of the playerbase by not only interfering with PvP, but RP also.

So what if I decide to take my pirate faction character near a lawful base? Am I not allowed to RP how I like? Must I be bogged down by unfair and quite frankly ridiculous game mechanics which should have absolutely zero presence in a multiplayer game?

You can't read, can you? I said about TEAMING up with other PLAYERS against NPCs. But if you blind, can't help you? God fucking damn it.

Fine, I will shut up. You had it. I'll go to another server for PvE, but then wouldn't it be better if my time was spent on here? No? Good. Don't care anymore.

Yeah but who wants to actually do that inRP beyond the purpose of missions? NPCs are nothing but a means to an end. They can't be viewed as just ends, like players can be. Sure, they can be interacted with however not to the extent nor the standard that players can be interacted with.
And in fact, if your desire is to hunt them, why can't they just exist in missions and nothing else? There is really no need for NPCs to be around to contribute to the ambiance of the environment. Those who want to partake in PvE can have their wish [b]without[b/] having the gameplay ruined for others.

Do as you wish. Don't be suprised if some players will start leaving, due to lifeless and empty systems. We have already too many systems that are empty. We are not EVE, we can't replace NPCs with players. Kusari is dead, Gallia is dead.

Well then... lemme guess... oh yes, I can't do much RP in Kusari... Same inside Gallia... Yeah... No players there, because players are too lazy to move there. Yep. Good idea, decrease NPCs. VERY good idea. To make some places even more senseless and empty.

Are you seriously trying to infer that players are going to leave because there won't be any NPCs? Are you seriously implying that AI-controlled ships that have 2 or 3 generic phrases that we've all heard 9000 times add life to a system? And furthermore that they contribute to activity, instead of the in game interactions and encounters created by players?
You can't be serious. No way.

Since you edited your post I'll edit mine:
NPCs add nothing to Kusari and Gallia. I'm not sure what you see, but right now I'm seeing hardly any players in Gallia and even less in Kusari. If we want Kusari and Gallia to be alive, then we do so by cutting systems, adding good traderoutes and so forth.

I still have no clue how many people you mean by "we". But i'm damn sure there are a lot more people around here than you who actually have a problem with the NPCs. It's our request against yours.

Co-op is even funnier agains other players. Let's be serious, NPCs are easy kills, Non-RPing usless robots. After all, this is a Roleplay server. Why would we need such useless tools around here?

Reminds me more of Battletech's Gauss rifle, which is just a variant of mass driver weapon.

I like the idea...although with the mechanics of it, you'd think it would do little to no shield damage, but a LARGE amount of hull damage. Might be a good new weapon for BS.
