As for range, yes. As for refire-rate, it wouldn't be needed - because of already high core cost. Unless you raised damage x2, then I'd agree.

You mentioned about Heavy Slots.

Or how about only Hull dmg? Since Pulse deal shield dmg, Cerberus could have a very less shield dmg ratio. Hmm... Actually that might put in some balance too

Another thing is, a general Heavy/Primary overhaul of the Weapon Classes:

-Razors, normal Mortar, Primaries on the 'Primary' Slot.
-Heavy Mortar, Missiles on Heavy Slot.

This would prolly be upon removal of Cerbs OR if their range and refire rate would be decreased, what do you think? I realy think using the Primary slot as a mean of mounting more weaponry would be cool as the Classes fit perfectly, Normal Mortar/Razors/Primaries have things in common. Heavy Slot is meant for heavy Weaponry aka Artillery like Heavy Mortars / Missiles, I think you can agree on that. I dunno what we could do with cerbs maybe add them into Primaries aswell but with huge nerf or completely remove them.

At least this way we could save devs all the work too, the current Cerberus could be turned into Rheinland Primary because currently the Secondary and Primary projectile look just the same, I think replacing the Cerberus effect with Rheinland Primaries as it was supposed to be could be done and Rheinland would have their own Primary projectile.

Now now let's not get too fast into confusion, think again. Heavy Slots as a mean of Missiles, Heavy Mortar and the upcoming Omicron Update (Rail Guns). Primary Slot, Primary Turrets, Razors, usual Mortars. Discuss.

I'm for. It's a good idea.

45k damage every 3 seconds!
No more green projectile spam!
or House Cerbs!

Dear Developers! DEVELOPERS!

Please, Rework on Cerberus projectile effect! House Cerbs would be great or reduce their Range!
1,800m For BS Cerberus Turret
1,100m For CR Cerberus Turret

It's fine as it is, Caps equip Cerbs to fight other Caps. Missiles and razor will make them much better at ruining snub fights.

It's not like they can't do it now lol, they're still able to ruin Snub fights.

That is true, but we should avoid making it worse. Instakills from (dual)missiles and razors cause a lot of frustration. Maybe we can buff mortars to increase loadouts variety, but no need to make missiles/razors more attractive.

Well.... The Missiles take some serious energy aswell as Razors. Well I'm just saying currently the Secondary and Heavy slot hav varieties, but the Primary has only 1 or Pulse. I think with energy consumptions and such the Razors could be balanced without ruining snub fights much. But after all, it's a Capital Ship we have this discussion about Cap vs Snub on another thread and to be honest snubs shouldn't be much surprised if they get killed by Capital Ships easily.

I actually think range reduction (shorter range than primaries) would be the better choice.

That way Cerberus is a gun for "tanks", in that you'll have to get fairly close to deliver the most damage per energy.

Maybe that would also gives some advantage to the already disadvantaged heavier battleships (or maybe it will do the opposite, idk).
