We can't do that with any NPC faction. None of those fit our roleplay. RE: IC/IND - Zelot - 11-16-2016 (11-16-2016, 07:15 AM)Corile Wrote:Quote:I wouldn't want to play a house corporate faction. You have the house government trying to dictate to you and you have no power to resist. Your role is terribly limited and anytime you try to do something interesting, disco whiners try to get in the way So there already is a Cryer faction right, this wisp you speak of.... RE: IC/IND - Skorak - 11-16-2016 Not anymore. RE: IC/IND - eigos - 11-16-2016 I don't see anything stopping you from playing as IND again. If you have fresh ideas or want to bring back its glory days - go ahead, there will be many who will appreciate it (me included). I remember when I caught [IND]Jihad.Trader (good ol' Joe) in Omega-3 and attempted to extort him for money. Well, the guy put the fear of death back in me when he said "I will give you one million... ask me for more and I will make sure the whole of Sirius comes crashing down on you like you haven't seen before". Get your peeps together and start it up again. Do NOT ask people or permission, because everyone here is free to act out their RP as they choose. You've been long enough here to be able of pulling it off. GL, hf RE: IC/IND - Jack_Henderson - 11-16-2016 Zelot, just go for it. Don't waste your energy in this useless debate here. Just make it cool, make it work, and - if you want to take my advice - don't strive for "the power of the old IND", or at least do not take for granted that today's Disco remembers IND or would accept it easily as "richer, more powerful, etc etc than you". Good luck!

The fun is in the process of getting there, not achieving the goal. Thanks RE: IC/IND - WildBill - 11-16-2016 Ah, yes, the days of IND are returning it would seem. Here's the great thing about disco, just because some of the people around here object to what you are trying to build/create/recreate it does not mean it is not worth doing. IND brought something very unique to the server, something no other faction had. The ability to go and trade almost everywhere. Junker Congress has worked hard toward this very same ideal. As the Leader of said faction I can honestly say that using the Junker ID would not fit into what Zelot is working towards. There are at least two Houses that would, for all intents and purposes, be cut off from commerce under the Junker ID. Keep in mind folks, this is RP that is not easily achieved and will require an extreme amount of work. If you really want to see this faction succeed again, you have the player base/interest in doing so, and the willpower to stick with it through the hate, then by all means, do it! From those of us that don't spend our time looking for ways to bring other factions down or trample on the fun of others, let us know if you need anything, we'll help you as best we can. RE: IC/IND - Croft - 11-16-2016 It should be worth considering that every faction must compliment every other, each should fill a niche in their respective areas or in the case of overlapping factions, be limited in some way to still allow the niche factions to survive. While it may seem counter-intuitive, no faction should ever be "the best" at anything and for my recollections I remember the IND as freelancers with 5kers which basically gave the finger to each of the house trading factions, regardless of its limited numbers. If you can recreate the IND to fill a niche without stepping on a dozen faction's toes then I'd say go for it, otherwise I'd suggest reconsidering. |
