And what was the point of your post? Just because you had enough time and didn't mind the boredom of hours of trading doesn't mean everybody does. I'm not someone with a lot of time on my hands (except probably during the holidays), and when I play FL, I want to RP, and not to do something absolutely stupid just because I want a large ship.
As I've already said for quite a couple of times: stupid powertrading shouldn't be rewarded, RP should - and since a high price doesn't really keeps lolwutters away from getting a BS, raising the prices even more just doesn't make any sense.

Actually, I think it does keep them away from getting a Battleship-but raising the price any higher than it already isn't going to stop anybody who's determined enough. I'm really in favor of dropping a couple hundred million off the pricetag at this point; I think half a billion credits has already entered the higher tier of determination, all the way up to 800 is just making our lives harder (especially since half of us ((especially us factions)) with heavier models have to rebuy ours, for which we will not be reimbursed:dry:)

You want a large ship, but not so much trading?
Buy a liner. Or a cruiser. They aren't terribly expensive. It costs maybe 120-175mil to buy and equip a cruiser at current time. I can get that amount of money in a week of vigorous trading or two weeks of moderate trading.
We don't all powertrade. In fact, I find the diamond run to be quite boring without a large group. I do Engines/Beryllium or Luxury Food/Optronics. Both pay well. And a lot of people do these runs. I RP with the people along these runs WHILE trading. Amazing concept, right? Trading doesn't have to be boring. Chat with the locals, tease the pirates, run like hell... be creative. You don't have to be the no-talker in the whale hauling diamonds and niobium.
Lolwutting caps often ignore the forums, so they may not know about the new mod. Which means they have to find out what happened and get the mod. But they probably won't know about the ship upgrades, which leaves them at a disadvantage.
Better ships = bigger price.

welp il lhave nothing to do but fourm rp then i heard the following ships need a rebuy LABC Kusari Dessie container transport so thats both my caps and my trader and tradeings allready hard enough as it is (as an indie and no trade rp fits any of my mony requiorments besides unlawful and as my main chars both cow own it and are lawful i effectivly have nothing i can fly next mod(fighters not included as i lag to much in dogfights same in my bomber) can somebody confirm this please

Guys, how about you stop arguing? And let this die? The question was answered. You can keep your old ship, but if your here for pvp, buy it again for that bigger powerplant.
