RE: The Nomad Vagrants — Feedback - Goliath - 01-17-2018 From what I see, the only problem I see here is that the owner of the Vagrant ship did not offer enough time to react the engagement lines. One second is surely not enough. Secondly. Sombra, I respect your work and I have absolutely nothing against you. But asuming what someone else is thinking is a bad social sign. Maybe it wasn't for what you think. I know Zyl for enough time, and he has nothing against you either. May we get to some understanding and agree on something rational? But ofc I can't know what flies in your mind. Hopefully I am wrong and you waited 30 secs before actually engaging RE: The Nomad Vagrants — Feedback - Sombs - 01-17-2018 (01-17-2018, 11:28 PM)Sombra Hookier Wrote: That being said, Ice was under attack by the Order Geb. The first natural reaction to that is obviously to take care of the human targets. Which is what I did. Those targets were unknown to the Vagrants, in the Vagrant home system. The Geb said it would act as Humanity's shield. Megaera might have ties with K'Hara but not with the Vagrants, and got shot down for it. RE: The Nomad Vagrants — Feedback - The Sovereign - 01-17-2018 Sharky, there is literally a full video of the fight linked right there. Watch it, compare the time stamps. RE: The Nomad Vagrants — Feedback - Megaera - 01-18-2018 I was boomed by Sombra ![]() Was like totally unprovoked RE: The Nomad Vagrants — Feedback - Backo - 01-18-2018 I want to say I've enjoyed my interactions with the Vagrands. I also like the fact you seemed to have been sticking to nomad space in general and resisted the temptation that is NY. Keep up the good work! RE: The Nomad Vagrants — Feedback - Lythrilux - 04-29-2018 Something I have always really liked about Vagrants is the use of this filter in their images. I've got a quick question: is that filter supposed to represent how Nomads view the space around them (as they don't have eyes I don't think)? RE: The Nomad Vagrants — Feedback - Foxglove - 04-29-2018 First and foremost, it is a stylistic device some of us with enough knowledge of image manipulation use. As for why this particular filter was chosen, it is exactly for that reason you mentioned. Nomads do not have visual organs the way humans do. While our eyes convert a certain range of EM radiation wavelengths to assemble a picture we can view, Nomads 'view' differently. The Nomads sustain themselves on radiation. Their ships are essentially like solar plants, able to absorb this radiation to convert it into useable energy, just as a human body breaks down food into energy it needs to sustain itself. Because of their dependency of radiation, they need to be able to identify how to find it. They need to 'view/perceive' it in some way. Thus if some object moves in space, it causes disturbances in this picture the Nomad perceives of the radiation around itself. The filter is just a crude way of approximating the general gist of this. Thanks for the interest, by the way. Hope this explanation helped a little. |
