I will never understand why folks who genuinely enjoy causing trouble exist.

Sure, sometimes it happens. Sometimes our tempers get the best of us. But intentionally being a jerk out-of-character isn't something I endorse.

Call me old school, stubborn or whatever, but I just don't see the point in purposefully making someone suffer for one's own amusement.

The underlying problem of this community's toxicity is really this community's stupidity. Stupid people see attempts to combat stupidity as toxicity, while slightly less stupid people underestimate other people's stupidity and see their blind stupidity as deliberate toxicity.
