RE: Gallic war - Victor Steiner - 08-21-2019 Can confirm, hasn't changed. RE: Gallic war - LaWey - 08-21-2019 But i agree, why use destroyers on already seized planet? Its weapon of defence grid breaking, not? if you have its under your control, why not make just some ~100-200MT charges? Would've funnier if there was some mutiny on side of land troops, and this left fleet do on their own. RE: Gallic war - t0l - 08-21-2019 With the Council closing in on Royalist holdings in New Paris and a renewed Sirian offensive aiming to liberate Leeds, King Charles has escaped his palace on a civilian-marked transport, coming under fire from Maquis terrorists in the Brittany jump corridor. Comatose but alive, the King's transport successfully reached Planet Gaia, where, with the aide of Duchesse de Maine Lucie LeBlanc, he was quickly nursed back to health, beginning phase one of his contingency plan.
Two years prior, King Charles had buried the flagship of the Royal Navy, the Chant Du Cygne, deep underneath Gaia, having it refitted with the latest and greatest in experimental technology. Now, with the collapse of the Gallic Crown in sight, the Chant Du Cygne is about ready to be unleashed upon the fleets of Sirius, possessing insurmountable firepower in the form of repurposed ancient relics collected by the Gallic royal family over the course of hundreds of years. Sure to lay waste to all that oppose it, King Charles must be stopped, lest he and the Chant Du Cygne turn back the tides of war. In the meantime, a crack team of Freelancers contracted by the Liberty Security Force's secretive Department of Tactical Operations approach Planet Gaia in a cloaked Rhino freighter, with only one objective: End the war. ![]() RE: Gallic war - Lambda 4 - 08-21-2019 Now it would be much smarter for Royal Navy left the London, protect Leeds and attack California Minor RE: Gallic war - Lythrilux - 08-21-2019 (08-21-2019, 03:51 PM)Karlotta Wrote: Funny how nobody complained when nomads destroyed an entire snowy wasteland planet because the Order had one cave and two landing pads on it. Because aliens. Big bad Aliens who want to exterminate humanity do exactly that. It's well within the scope of their actions, especially when it's literally their arch enemy. Because aliens. AFAIK there were no known DK structures on Toledo and the intent of the attacks were to purposefully burrow and cook Order/Civilian personnel alive as they hid in the bunkers, with the Nomads hoping to wipe out the Order completely (which is what the Order wanted/wants to do to them). I see your point about protection but from the Nomads perspective, wiping out an invasive species that is a threat to their existence is within that. I can't see what they'd do with the Humans otherwise. To effectively render a planet uninhabitable there is much more needed then that. If some of you are familiar with Battletech: The destruction of Galax and Alarion during the WoB Jihad would be a quite a good example of how Leeds coulld be destroyed by Gallia. Benath you can read something about it on the Battletech wiki: Galax |
