Do you know how much I wanted full blown Luxury Wars? Samura bombing liners out in the sigmas would make some truly engaging news posts. Curacao declaring "vengeance" on Kusari, Naval Forces ambushing shuttles, all with a running back and forth smear campaign over who's vacation service is "safer". It would be the most engaging storytelling since the Spyglass at least, and if done right this Luxury War could be up there with the Tundra or the Necrosis.
I hate you pacifists, defusing situations when an escalated situation could be so much more interesting. Argument defusers take all the potential out of the game.
Well the idea isnt that bad after all. But maybe not such a Open War. How about a More Covert Operation? something like the Cold War of Luxury Conflict?

OS&C vs Hogosha? ... Hogosha will be DEEP Burden before they ever thinks, if Samura can support them... but how long if OS&C commence raiding them outside Kusari Space?
Kusari has own techies, but lot other factions could get what they need to keep building ships, OS&C have planets, so they can still keep building ships ...
KNF can't act outside Kusari ... GMG will feel Samura wanna to push into Sigmas (and they are lethal enemies one to another) ... there OS&C can take advantage (because is well known GMG were kinda Elite Units, even more than the KNF units for some reason (GMG is a faction to fear and respect after all)
OS&C could get support from Rheinland, Liberty, Gallia and Bretonia, with only 1 house to align with them, they will get comparable power ...
Corsairs can support Hogosha, but they are doing a Battle in the Omicrons so better will just stay away from the conflict ... to concentrate in the Omicrons (Corsairs don't seem Hogosha as truly allies, they are considered as tinker toys by them)
...
What more .... probably Liberty and Rheinland would bring the most support for them ... Rheinland is friendly of Gallia, Gallia has angers with Kusari ...
3 Houses in a full style war against Kusari?
Bretonia will follow up Liberty as "War Payment for before" ...
Rheinland takes Honshu, Liberty and Bretonia takes Shikoku and Gallia takes over Kyushu ....
Kusari ends with ... New Tokyo in a whole style battle,
Unless devs wanted to make the map of old good times
Personally for me if there is a luxury war between factions OS&C will get more support than what Samura and Hogosha can bring to the table ...
even if we don't account the militaries in such intervention, because OS&C will get even GMG blast samura liners if they are seen in sigmas, and OS&C will handle the hogosha intruders, hogosha by itself is just a LOOSELY faction of "Quasi-Lawful" things ... just another Xenos but in Kusari

Ah yes an inter-house war started because of an angy luxury and leisury corpo not getting what they want, that surely is big brain time.
Wtf is this dumpster fire of a thread again... Helm, please get a basic understanding of imperialism and protectionism, aswell as Kusaris general nationalistic pride. I explained that 10 times and it seems that opinions really correlate with what Erremart said. Sorry can only agree with them.
To sum it up:
Kusari's entire imperial history dates strongly back to its relations with Samura, as they're the founding fathers of the empire and fall of the shogunate. They had for centuries a nigh unquestionable and unbeatable imperalistic hegemonic power on the market, controlling most shipbuilding, heavy engineering and agricultural, aswell as most industrial processes basically controlling the entire economy of Kusari. This came with a very xenophobic stance to outside trade, especially at first with Synth Foods, who suddenly brought new food varieties on the market, hence the Farmers Alliance movement formed and gets aided by Samura as a henchman group to continousely control food market prizes by letting the angry mob, handle dirty work with foreigners.
Another big important tool of them is the Hogosha, theyre made to handle all non agricultural related dirty work for Samura, theyre pretty much made to be the organ controlling the underworld, and making it fit for the imperials. Samura pulls all the strings to remain its nationalistic hegemony. Yes that would especially include in a Yakuza like manner to control most luxury, leisury services all of Kusari, hence why they rather hand that out to kusari especially Samura friendly corps.
You interact with nationalistic, trade protectionist imperialists and wonder why they dont engage in free trade you with their assets, Im sorry it is plain stupidity of yours on that part.
