I'd recommend you do join the Lane Hackers; We have a pretty good location and a high amount of trader's pass through our 'domain' and most of the time we are spared of the lawl-players. Its a rather good start for Piracy.

When you blow up traders in a GB or bomber, all that cargo is wasted.
In a pirate transport, you often are able to sell it for upwards of 2.5 million at a nearby Freeport.

just dont do any gunships. they are a pain as it is in liberty as it is. Also, you might want to think about setting up camp somewhere thats not New York. While New York has quite a few traders, it also has a pirate on every lane already. So maybe go bug the brits or something instead.

It seems to me that there aren't that many pirates in Rheinland. I haven't seen much at least. Maybe think about that? Grab a starflier and buzz around the colonies for a while?

I think this is because they changed the trade routes and now there aren't many good routes through rheinland, unless you work for OS&C
