Pretty sure "being an adult" includes accepting that some people might have preferences on who they want to spend their free time with.

I struggle to comprehend Auxesian polycule in even fractional capacity but I havent had any upsetting encounter with ND yet, even as Order. Just felt like to clear it out because Order's name seems to be thrown frequently around here. That saying I think Sally and Nodoka are way overreacting to things. I'd like to ask if I upset Nodoka player in any capacity because last time we've had any meaningful interaction we've been... neutral at least? It's been several years though.

In all honesty you might be right, I get that it might look like I'm overreacting at this from the point of view of a bystander but at the end the day the one that got their time wasted for no reason other than OOC grudges I wasn't even aware of was me.

Nah, even kids can understand that. The problem isn't whether they let me get involved or not but rather the reasoning I was told about when I asked them to elaborate on DMs so I can correct it or solve it when everything looked clean and nice inRP, and they told me what I disclosed on my original feedback. The positive side of it (as I usually try to see it) is that at least I know it's not a problem at my side of the fence, my conscience is clean, and I won't waste my time a second try, that bridge is burned already.

For the record, Sally: fears of you engaging in this kind of behavior--exactly the behavior that you're engaging in now--are exactly why we voted not to include you in the faction. We don't want someone in our faction who will go after people when they feel slighted. The character you applied on was amiable, but we can't just judge people based on their individual RP. OOC interaction is a large consideration.

I have, as much as possible, attempted to remain civil with you. What I've received in return is you repeatedly ignoring my requests to file proper feedback, and insulting me both here and in PMs.

If you have nothing else to add to your existing points, then I respectfully ask that you please stop posting in our faction thread just to reiterate yourself.

This is projection.

Point me to any examples before my application that sustain this claim, because as I told you earlier in DMs I've been nothing but constructive and positive towards your faction. You also said something along the lines of me making some other undisclosed person that is part of your faction uncomfortable, then refused to elaborate. I reached to you on your DMs in an effort to try and correct whatever mistakes or wrongs you felt like I did and you just told me to beat it and that the decision was final, in summary. So what else am I supposed to expect from this whole thing beyond you going out of your way to just waste my time putting effort when I reasonably suspect that this was already decided far before I posted my application?

I've done everything you told me to do, I've went through the hops and loops to get an answer to whether you allow me into the faction or not only to get told to get lost in the end. Of course I won't comply with your demands and requests any further, because I know me posting this on the feedback thread would've changed absolutely nothing.

I haven't had any bad interactions with the group so far myself.

Kinda sad to see that people still get judged on their OOC impression.

While I was probably also one of the most hated dudes in disco because of my PvP ego and constant shit talking, people still accepted me into their factions with one requirement, keep the posting of Nazi memes/racism part and shit talking out of the faction. So I did, and now guess what, I'm probably back to being your average disco member with a reputation most of the community doesn't remember.

I'm not a fan of Sally either, but give him a chance, you can always boot him if he "fucks" up. But not giving people a chance anyway, will make our community even smaller...

RE: New Dawn Movement - Faction Information - TheDoctorXI - 08-29-2025

In a Discovery age where factions struggle with activity, for the most part (definitely not DTR).

Perks of being a faction lead, you can give people a chance and if it doesn't work out, you can remove them and even amicably on the proviso that you agree, mutually, to a "probation period" of sorts. Everyone deserves a second chance, at least. Who knows, Sally might make a great addition to your group. If he doesn't, then at least you've tried and you can mutually part ways knowing that chance was given (and hopefully be no bad blood between you).

Have yet to run in to you and yours in space, but look forward to it.

RE: New Dawn Movement - Faction Information - Chronicron - 08-29-2025

@Goddess Astra sometimes it's worth giving people benefit of a doubt, especially in a roleplay-focused faction. discovery isn't really in a spot where you can afford to have secluded/reserved/exclusive roleplaying groups nowadays. this sort of overprotectiveness and pickiness won't serve you well in a long run (you can see how well that went for the old Das Wilde)

@Sally sometimes it's better to take a "no" than make a fool of yourself and prove others right. if you're looking for a crowd, well, this crowd might not be for you. they ain't the only crowd around, that being said.

RE: New Dawn Movement - Faction Information - Kauket - 08-29-2025

why is everyone here coming in to judge what the faction decided on

stop backseating, sally already 'proved' his behaviour and it's their decision to curate what vibes people bring in

typically trust and respect has to be built up rather than demanded.
