Hessian, Bundschuh, Unioner or LWB, even Corsair ID and tag would be a good move. Or just the tag with an FL ID. Difficult without the NPCs shooting at you to be true enemies ...

TBF has purchased the freelancer id and it identifies us as police. As I've got about 65 hours experience with this mod so if any of the ye ole wise ones want to chime in and suggest a fix we will get it implemented so we are identified correctly in the hud.

The ID you purchased (or any ID for that matter) has nothing to do with the tag you carry (the yellow-flashing faction on your reputation window - hit F8 to see, scroll to the bottom).
In order to loose the Police tag, go kill every lawful NPC in Rheinland (though, I think you have the Liberty Police tag so I suggest you fly to Bonn Station and kill the Interspace Commerce depots there). Watch your reputation all the time, you may also want to kill Hessians to get a Corsair tag.

Nights reply is a good start. You need to lose the police tag to get you on the way to your intended affiliation.
What are you hoping to go for ? This makes a difference on how you approach the rest of it.

Sargon, think we are at cross purposes here ... The FL ID is the tractor beam mount you carry already ...
The tag is the one that appears with your name to the rest of the server, No such animal as an FL tag.
In losing the police one you are likely to gain something else along the way, not necessarily what you
want to show to rest of us. You will end up with an affiliation of some sort, better to be one you feel is
suitable first time round ...

You have to have the ID, its your tractor beam, bugger without one ... Usual thing is to match the ID to your
