true, if you want to make max profit you should take every thing to count.

If you carry less cargo you make less profit. if you go through highly populated pirate areas you should hire escort= less profit.. if you pay a pirate you profit less as well.
But you still making profit.. unless you get destroyed.. You must find the best way that works for you to make most profit, In case you are all about the profit. As you can see rayne does profit but RP is more important than Profit.. one thing that some might learn while trading is: RP and trading is not so boring, RP with pirates and you will pay less and get better treatment.

Yep. Escorts are hard to come by, so we dual role our trade ships. We have Shires and Percherons on convoy defence: The Shires and any escorts will ride up front as fore-runners, and will tie up any pirates they come across, while Percherons sit in formation with the Shetlands (they're the largest ship for this to work for) to keep any close encounters safe, while any Clydesdales ride nearby. Heavies up front, sitting ducks out back.

It's avadible to all Bretonian corporations, including Gateway, even if it is Bowex built. We make them, but we don't sell them. Private retailers can pass them on to Gateway if they want to, and while we might not like it, they'd be able to.

Also, set up some forum RP and I'm sure Bowex would be happy to negotiate the commissioning of some Shires for Libertonian corporations.
