Tomorrow, when I'm sober. Dusty has ordered me off the forums D:

I am... shocked.

And I have realised the problem. We tested first with a Bretonian Battleship, and then with a Lib Dread versus the Kusari Battleship. Then I checked the numbers.

The Kusari Battleship has the front profile of a Liberty Dreadnought, while having the powercore of a Rhienland battleship.

Not only that, it can turn easier than a Bretonian battleship.

That is not just unbalanced, that is over the top neglect. I have my reasons as to why this has been ignored, but this is lunacy. It need's one or two of the following:

-Powercore reduction
-Increase of width by 10-15%
-Removal of 2 or three forward firing turrets.

The problem is not the Bretonian battleship, it is the Kusari one.

I feel like Commander Riker screaming 'I'M NOT CRAZY!' in that one episode of ST:TNG.

That said, I still want to build this thing after I finish my other three projects because I think it's incredibly cool.

Go for it, by all means. However, we put a Lib Dread versus a Rhienland BS, I defeated it.

But, any BS against that Kusari one... it's madness... who the heck balanced that!?

That will never happen, since it would require altering a vanilla model, and that's just taboo.

Like someone else mentioned, Bretonia has pretty inferior battleship primary turrets, for some reason. That can't help matters.

Lib Dread with Lib Turrets didnt fair any better, however.

I still want to see this Dread complete even if Ku BS vs Bret BS was balanced.

I hate to say it, but that's an actual, honest-to-god conspiricah. I'm sure there's something about it on the Dev forums somewhere.

And yes, unfortunately, modifying a vanilla model would be a bad idea. Therefore, NERFT.

So nerf the powercore. It doesn't matter what is done, as long as something is done...
