This was what was attempted repeatedly.
Due to the unusual shape, which I personally loved, they were difficult to properly balance for the role each ship was given.

I adore SCRA ships now in game. These new are not bad but they can't compare to the current design. Is it possible to alter current ships to correct their bugs. It would be much much better solution. These ships just rock!!!

Well, if it cant be fixed, they have to be replaced. Its nothing about Ship Design then.
They could easily be removed by now and get Civillian Ships if the Devs want to be mean.

What's going to happen to the old models? Will they be recycled? People who aren't even in the Coalition love them so much. Maybe take one of them and turn it into a civilian ship with a new paint job?

In the best but unlikely case, they will probably be recycled somehow, or at least put into storage, inaccessible to the public.
More likely, they will simply be deleted.

they cannot really be recycled - they got the red coalition star on them. - so unless you make a new skin for the old models, i don t see them made civilian.
if you do however - they can easily replace the kiith somtaav or kushan line.
depends on if you redo the skin though. ( thats a bit of a bugger with faction specific skins )

They are really Beautiful ships.........But if it cant be fixed, It cant be helped.
I would support them getting retextured into some kinda Ship of doom For vigillanties.
But......There Has to Be SOME way to fix the hitbox

The LF was cool looking, but the VHF appeared really bulky and fat. IMO the current ships are better though. They actually look scary in game :|

Yeah, the actual ship' cockpit were made to look like Star Wars Mandalorian warrior helmet. Not a coincidence at all.
Well, we can't unfortunately have every ideas in one sole concept (else, I'd be in the professional career I think)
