I even tried Itano Circus 1.0 Widescreen Mod from Moddb.com and in both scenarioes I get this result with 1680x1050 and 1280x800 resolution (I use 1680x1050 natively in Win 7):

Okay I fixed this problem by using 1440x900 even tho I am running 1680x1050 on my desktop.
Weird problem, but hey I got it fixed and it looked kinda great.

But now I've just reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate and installed everything that has with Freelancer to do, got the mod running, got my accounts imported back into FAM and I am running. Last thing I needed to do was to set it to widescreen again, so I did as before. Put in -d1440x900 and started freelancer.
But what the hell? Now it was all squeezed together, so I tried -d1680x1050 and now it works. Looks great. Only problem is that it lags a but and I think its a little too small so only thing I wanted is a little lower widescreen resolution.

And as I said before. Before the reinstall I could only use this resolution: 1440x900 even tho I was running 1680x1050 on my desktop.
Now the problem is the other way around. Now the ONLY resolution I am able to use is 1680x1050 wich my computer can't quite handle in-game. And this is the ONLY resolution that works. Everything else I tried just come out to be some weird resolution squeezed together in a 4:3 format.

Theese are the resolution I've tried so far:
1440x900 - This doesn't work now but it did before I reinstalled windows and freelancer. What the hell!
1280x720
1280:768
1280x800
1280:900
1365x768

The only one working is 1680x1050 and as I said this is a tad too much.

Can anyone help?

EDIT: Hmm... Nevermind. Kinda starting to get used to 1680x1050. Looks pretty cool.

If you can run on 16x10 then it's all well and good, but I am not sure why you can't change down. I can use any resolution for mine and it all works. Could you copy your whole shortcut? Like mine:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -s82.113.48.6:2302 -d1920x1200 -newplayer -dptplayer -logchat -logchattime -lag -s87.72.29.113:2302 -logappend

Im also having issues getting 1440x900 to work

It always loads in 1024x768.

My desktop resolution is 1440x900

Ive tried a few differnt sizes, no dice.

This is the line I use.

Code:
C:\Users\USER\Desktop\FL\EXE\Freelancer.exe -newplayer -dptplayer -lag -d1440x900

Everything works execpt for the widescreen setting.

<strike>Hi, I can't get chat logging to work. The only thing I get in DSace.log is "Freelancer Started" for every time I, well, start Freelancer. My target line is:
Quote:"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -w -logappend
</strike>
Never mind, figured it out, sorry.

I'm having the same problem, because I'm playing on a laptop. How can I change 16:10 to 16:9? D:

Oh I want to run FL on 1366x768.
