Because we cannot possibly teach everyone on the server who does not speak English, some people are either too stubborn to learn it or they simply do not care. We do not have the resources, how are you able to teach a Russian person English if you do not know Russian yourself? You do not understand the difficulty of teaching one a foreign language without the basis of their own language.
Instead of trying to teach English to anyone we come across who does not speak it, the solution of making different languages Discovery servers is much less time consuming and simple.
So the current title of Discovery RP 24/7 will be changed to Discovery (English only) RP 24/7.
Unless, of course, you want to be the full time Multi-Lingual English teacher of Discovery RP 24/7 and pass on your net speak to foreign learners.

i agree that a full time teacher would not be possible, but i'm sure that there are alot of people, who can speak more than one language and could contribute with a few translations that could be put on the wiki

Someone who got a friend setting a msg for hims saying "Hostile target sighted.. opening fire" Is not an RP server.
Or even those who can speak English but choose to give only a proper engagement notice and this concludes their RP should try the PVP server.. discovery of Discover is the place for you.
That one missile GB in Liberty which i wont say the name is the worse of them all.. he have 2 set msg and thats all you see from him.. i mean come on .. you can speak English.. why would you just give your damned engagement notices and not talk? (not to tlak about giving your opponents fair fight.. oh probably not even reg on the forums.. gah)

Heh.. While I fix my rep in Colorado (getting a guard ID so I reckon I'll be there for the rest of the year), I get attacked at least twice an hour by Silent merchants of death with Christmas decorations in their name. The one fellow keeps flying into his own missilies and Nukes, hilarious.
Their timing is impeccable too, they follow me to a mission area and open fire while I am killing NPc's on a mission. NPC + PvP = Laggus epicus failus.
Ha Weedalot, I would have taken you and your friend on last night if it werent for my limping state from a previous such encounter.
To make things worse, I am on my laptop and i can't find the print screen button! - The only time I think I would report someone is to get them to the forums which is where strong part of the answer lies:
I reckon the best way to handle non english players is the same way countries handle em. 'Not being aware of a law does not exempt you from it'.
I think this is how we handle it on Disco anyway, it gets players to the forums and exposes them to the other requirements of Disco gameplay too.
It's a schlep reporting incidents but I think we should step up those 'no engrish' reports so that the players are introduced to the forums.

Its simple really, if they can reply that they dont speak English, then chances are, they speak some English. If they can't then they need to learn. Yea it sucks for people who don't speak english, but this IS an English speaking server, and people need to learn. We aren't talking about perfect English, we are talking about passable English. As is, there are way too many pilots that are "mentally/vocally challenged" inRP on the server.

What I meant by arrogance, is there are a lot of people who think that everyone should speak English and they themselves don't speak a second language.
As far as the other thing, it was a joke. Haha, I know, but I thought it was obvious from the stance I took.
