HF MK IIs? - Vaporlinx - 07-04-2007 Im haf say that i really never see Hfs. I only ever see Lfs Vhfs, and the occasional Bomber. Methinks there should be more ships in between the light fighters and the very heavy fighters. I tend to lean towards the lighter ships, its rather hard to kill me, but i find myself being unable to kill anyone else. (methinks all weapons need a bit of a tweaking to be more lethal) Id vote that we add more ships (and reorganize some) to fill all roles from: Vlf-Lf-Mf-Hf-Vhf-Shf(id say bombers are modified Shf's (spatial) meant to attack capital ships) Id rather not see Mk2s of every single ship. Some balance would be nice. However, with the current setup, it allows people to simply work their way up until they get a good ship. My Kusari State Police account, for example, started out with a Starflier, once I got the cash I got a Drake, and then after that I got a Wyrm. However, what I don't like is how the weaker ships, LFs and HFs, aren't balanced anyway. The Liberty ones are weak, and the Rheinland ones are almost as strong as the LF MK IIs and VHFs. If anything were to be fixed, it would have to be that. 5 main classes of fighters should do: "Starflier" is the basic ship you start out with. Just like usual. Leave it crappy and underbalanced. Though that is a little unorthodox. LF MK Is should have good manoeuvrability but are weak and have low power. Small cargo hold. LF MK IIs should have slightly less manoeuvrability for more power output and armour. Medium-small cargo hold. HFs should have decent manoeuvrability with even more power and armour, and more weapon slots. Medium cargo hold. VHFs should have poor manoeuvrability with extra power output and armour. Medium-large cargo hold. The differences in armour and power shouldn't be that great (with the exception of the Starflier), but the equipment level range should be separated by one level for each.
